Shad Moss, better known as rapper Bow Wow, no longer wants to be like Mike. Rather, his newest role is that of an online hacker on the upcoming CSI spinoff CSI: Cyber.

Moss has joined CSI: Cyber as a series regular, playing the role of Brody “Baby Face” Nelson. His character is described as “a cyber-intrusion savant,” or in other words, a really, really good hacker who’s ordered by a judge to work with Patricia Arquette’s Special Agent Avery Ryan. With jail as his only other option, Nelson agrees to help on with a cyber case. His series-long dilemma will then become “working for the Feds while trying to keep his fingertips out of the Deep Web, where he was groomed to be one of the most prolific hackers in the world.”

“Bow Wow is a gifted young actor who will have the responsibility, through his character, to set an example for young people who watch the show to ‘do what’s right’ even when you know ‘nothing but wrong,'” CSI creator Anthony E. Zuikersaid in a press release. “It will be a redemption story and a cautionary tale all wrapped into one. The role of Nelson required someone with deep acting chops and off-the-charts smarts. Shad Moss is a unique talent that possesses both.”

CSI: Cyber is expected to premiere during the 2014-2015 season on CBS.
