MTV has ordered Follow the Rules, a half-hour docu-series starring Ja Rule, EW has learned.

The comedic series will follow the rapper-turned-actor and the hectic household that he and his wife attempt to keep under control—a difficult feat since his two sons, mother, and mother-in-law all live with them, while his oldest daughter is about to start her sophomore year in college.

“Ja Rule is the modern day reality rap star version of Bill Cosby’s role from The Cosby Show,” says Susanne Daniels, president of MTV programming. “He embraces a unique parenting style with his teenage kids that feels fresh and funny. We’re excited to be in business with him and his delightful family.”

Follow the Rules is executive-produced by Christian Sarabia, Jeffrey Atkins, Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere, and Irv Gotti.
