'Castle': Beckett and Castle get hands on (literally!) while dog-sitting -- EXCLUSIVE CLIP

Prepare yourself for a 10.0 on the cuteness scale.

EW has already shared a few details about this week’s episode of Castle, which finds Castle and Beckett investigating the death of a famous dog trainer, and as a result, stuck babysitting a homeless pooch. (The episode also guest-stars White Collar-One Tree Hill alum Hilarie Burton.) And, as this exclusive clip shows, it leads to a bit of a tender moment. (HAND HOLDING!)

I won’t continue because if I say more, I’ll spoil the moment. But click below if your curiosity is piqued. READ FULL STORY »

'The Finder': Michael Clarke Duncan talks Leo's backstory, previews his tough guy moments

The Finder might have had some less than thrilling ratings last week, but Michael Clarke Duncan is nothing but excited about what’s coming up on the show in the upcoming weeks.

For one, there will be more talk of his character, Leo, and more details on the bond he shares with Walter (Geoff Schultz), the uniquely gifted detective at the center of the show. “Walter sort of changed his life around,” says Duncan, best known for his work in movies like The Green Mile and Sin City. “Leo was this real high-class lawyer, overweight, big fat cat. And then he was going to go do this deed, Walter talked him out of it.” The deed, as mentioned in last week’s episode, was revenge. After his family was murdered, Leo set out to seek retribution when he crossed paths with Walter, who went on to become his best friend. (And, as he says in the video interview below, his bro-mantic bond with Schultz on screen isn’t too far from their real relationship.)

And though Leo is now reformed from his angry ways — for one, he’s playing surrogate father to a troublemaking gypsy (Maddie Hasson) — Duncan teased that his docile ways should not be misconceived as weakness. “Leo’s going to have his moments,” he says. “We’ve been talking about Leo having some insane moments.”

Click below to see Duncan talk about Leo and Walter, Leo’s adoration for the young Willa, and dish on the one thing that Bones star David Boreanaz gets to do that creator Hart Hanson forbid him from doing! READ FULL STORY »

Daniel Radcliffe to guest host on 'Live! with Kelly'

Showing no signs of slowing down — or any desire to let his hosting momentum cool after a memorable effort on SNL this past weekend — Daniel Radcliffe is set to guest host Live! with Kelly on Jan. 31.

This will mark the first time Radcliffe will occupy the guest host seat alongside Kelly Ripa on the syndicated morning show. Thankfully, his first time hosting on Ripa’s talker likely won’t result in him having to kiss hobos. Likely.

'Revenge': 'FlashForward' alum cast as Emily's newest pawn

Courtney-B-Vance

Just as the body count is about to rise on ABC’s buzzy soap Revenge, a source tells EW that the show will make up for that by introducing yet another new character, played by FlashForward and Law & Order: Criminal Intent alum Courtney B. Vance. Vance is contracted to guest star on the series, beginning with episode 16, the hour that follows Revenge‘s big engagement party episode, “Chaos,” airing Feb. 15. (The series’ next new installment, episode 14, titled “Perception,” will air Feb. 8.)

Vance’s character factors into the aftermath of the beach murder. He’s been tapped for four episodes and will play a loyal employee of the Conrad (Henry Czerny) and Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) and described as someone “who gets caught up in a public scandal and romantic entanglement that Emily [Emily VanCamp] will leverage to further her agenda against Conrad and Victoria.” Where most see a new face around Southampton, the devilish Emily clearly sees a new target. 'Glee' First Look: See Rachel's gay dads -- PHOTO

The news already broke earlier this week that Rachel’s gay dads on Glee would be played by Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell. Well now we have the first family photo of the trio courtesy of Lea Michele’s twitter feed. The Berry fathers will pop up on the Feb. 14 episode of Glee, likely due to Finn (Cory Monteith) proposing to their only daughter on last Tuesday’s installment.

Priceline killing off William Shatner as spokesperson

Ke-yah! After 14 years, Priceline is chopping William Shatner as its spokesperson.

The travel agency is reportedly jettisoning Captain Kirk in an explosive final ad that will air starting Monday. In the 30-second spot, Shatner’s deal-dishing character the Negotiator rescues panicked vacationers from a bus teetering on a bridge’s railing.

“Save yourselves — some money,” he says, handing his cell phone to a passenger as he and the bus tumble into a dry creek bed. A violent explosion follows.

“I’m in grief mode,” Shatner told the AP. “It’s not the first time I’ve had an iconic character die off … It was a great run. [But] if the management says this is the end, this is the end.” READ FULL STORY »

'Vampire Diaries': Torrey DeVitto talks Dr. Fell, enjoying husband Paul Wesley's turn as Bad Stefan

When Torrey DeVitto was cast on The Vampire Diaries, she thought it was just going to be a three-episode arc. But with her stay in Mystic Falls continuing — she’s shot more than a handful of episodes and is still filming — you might want to keep an eye on Dr. Meredith Fell.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Last week’s episode established that Dr. Fell is a member of a Founding Family and on the Council. So has she been in town for awhile and we just haven’t met her until now?
TORREY DEVITTO: When I talked to [exec producer Julie Plec], my take on it was that she’s obviously from there, left and went to medical school, and she’s just coming back into town. READ FULL STORY »

NBC announced that First Lady Michelle Obama will appear as a guest on The Tonight Show on Tuesday, Jan. 31. While Mrs. Obama has appeared on The Tonight Show before, it will mark her first time visiting as the First Lady. (Her previous appearance was on Oct. 27, just days before Barack Obama was elected the President of the United States.)

Mrs. Obama, who has become something of a familiar face on television lately, will be on hand to discuss, among other things, her ongoing “Let’s Move” campaign and her upcoming book about her garden on the South Lawn of the White House.

InsideTV Podcast: Is Steven Tyler crossing the line on 'American Idol'? Plus: 'Alcatraz' and what the Golden Globes got right and wrong

Oh, Steven Tyler, you lovable rascal! That was the prevailing sentiment about the Aerosmith singer when he would not so subtly hit on female contestants last season after he joined American Idol. But did his vaguely creepy Horny Grandpa shtick cross the line last night on Idol’s season 11 premiere? On the newest edition of the InsideTV Podcast, Jessica Shaw, Kristen Baldwin, and I discuss 63-year-old Steven’s decision to tell former pro-baseball pitcher Joe Magrane that the weather in Boston was “hot, humid, and happening — just like your daughter.” His 15-year-old-daughter. As in, still barely in high school. As in, ewwwwwwwwwwwww. That’s just one of the head-scratching moments up for discussion as we also debate which show is the king of the television singing-competition mountain: American Idol or The Voice.

Also on the menu, we offer initial thoughts on J.J. Abrams’ newest drama, Alcatraz. Can the Fox series successfully integrate a serialized mythology into what is basically a procedural criminal-of-the-week format? And does the show have some casting issues? Finally, we break down the Golden Globes: rating Ricky Gervais’ much ballyhooed return, as well as offering a category-by-category assessment of all the TV winners. (Kelsey Grammer over Damian Lewis?)

To join in on the fun, just click on the audio player icon below. Or, since we’re on iTunes, you can subscribe for free and take the podcast with you on the go. No iTunes? No problem. You can also download the entire podcast right here. And to send a question to the InsideTV Podcast team, follow us on Twitter @InsideTVPodcast. But first let us know what you think: Does Steven Tyler need to tone done his ogling of teenage contestants? Are you in or out for Alcatraz? And did the right shows and actors win at the Golden Globes? The message boards are open for business!

'Grey's Anatomy': Katherine Heigl wants to return

We already know that Kate Burton is returning to Grey’s in an upcoming episode, but could Katherine Heigl be next?

The actress told E! that she’d be open to returning to the show, and has, in fact, already reached out. ”I’ve told them I want to [return],” she said. “I really, really, really want to see where [Izzie] is. I just want to know what happened to her and where she went and what she’s doing now. My idea is that she actually, like, figures it out, and finds some success and does really well in a different hospital. She was always floundering, you know, and so she was always one step behind the eight ball and I want to see that girl take some power back.”

Heigl, who last appeared on the show in 2010, left the show, saying she wanted to focus on her family.

A show rep had no comment on Heigl’s claim or any plans in the works.

'The Mentalist': Simon Baker talks Patrick Jane's mob encounter -- EW VIDEO

Patrick Jane has been struggling to keep his wits in recent episodes of The Mentalist. With Red John still at large, the widower has proved he’s increasingly willing to make questionable decisions in order to keep his secret, which he has thus far only shared with Lisbon (Robin Tunney). But star Simon Baker is enjoying the ride into the darker parts of Jane’s psyche. “It’s always difficult when you’re on a show that goes for more than a year or a couple of years. This is our fourth season [and] I’m always looking for things that are interesting and different that I can exploit within the character,” says Baker, who stopped by EW this week to preview the rest of the season and give EW a special clip of tonight’s episode. And if they’re able to take him into these different paths and avenues, it makes it more refreshing for me.”

And refreshing for the 14 million-plus viewers who tune in every week, he says. “It feels to me a little bit that, here’s a guy who is likable and empathetic and he’s slowly turning to the dark side and maybe less empathetic and that’s an interesting journey for the audience.” READ FULL STORY »

Bad girl Bree beds 'All My Children' heartthrob on 'Housewives': 'It was lovely having sex with you.' -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

What happens when Desperate Housewives‘ notoriously prim Bree Van de Kamp lets loose a little? Hilarious things, natch! The seemingly prude Bree is going a little bit bad in the dramedy’s next new episode “What’s the Good of Being Good,” on Jan. 22, and EW has an exclusive sneak peek at how it all goes down. Specifically, the clip chronicles what happens after Bree picks up Greg (played by delicious and mostly shirtless All My Children alum Cameron Mathison) at a bar in the wee hours of the morning — and then unceremoniously kicks him out of her bed at 4 a.m. before Mrs. McCluskey can spot him. “It was lovely,” she says, “having sex with you.”

Bree is desperate to get rid of Greg. “This is my only chance to get you out of here without her noticing!” she explains to him. Despite her ease with kicking him to the curb, Greg likes Bree… and wants to see her again. “You’re just going to kick me out?” he asks. Which is when Bree pulls the ultimate Bree move and offers him one of her patented muffins, which she just happens to have on hand — naturally — by the door to her house. “I am so sorry,” she adds, with a smile. “Where are my manners?” Watch the full, sneak-peek clip below:

F-bombs away!

ABC’s Modern Family is releasing its f-word payload tonight despite attempts by a some protestors to halt the episode from airing. As EW.com previously reported, two-year-old Lily will horrify her parents by learning the word “f–k” on tonight’s episode “Little Bo Bleep.”

Since news of the episode broke, the always trusty Parents Television Council and a student organization nobody has ever heard of until now called the No Cussing Club have lined up against the hit series, outraged the Emmy-winning program would portray a foul-mouthed toddler. READ FULL STORY »
