New Girl‘s Max Greenfield guest stars on this week’s episode of Hot in Cleveland as a Rescue Center volunteer who determines if the women (Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves) are dog-worthy or not. From the looks of these two exclusive clips from the episode titled “The One with George Clooney”, things may not be what they seem. For one, Max Greenfield is not George Clooney (no offense). Looks like Betty White and her gal pals will be sticking around Ohio for a little bit longer.
TV Land has renewed Hot in Cleveland, the hit sitcom starring White, Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, and Wendie Malick, for a 24-episode sixth season. The announcement was made to the cast and crew one day shy of taping the show’s 100th episode. “There’s instant magic when our cast, writers and crew get together for each episode,” said TV Land President Larry Jones. “We’re so excited to be reaching these milestones and can’t wait to see what lies ahead in Cleveland.” Jones celebrated with the cast on set by sharing this congratulatory selfie on Twitter: READ FULL STORY
Betty White is taking some tips from Miley Cyrus in the latest promo for her television show Off Their Rockers.
Watch the 91-year-old actress spoof one of Miley’s most popular videos below! And before you ask, don’t worry, Betty fans — the video below is indeed twerk-free!
The 30-second TV spot starts off innocently enough with White telling viewers that she was asked to come up with a few ideas on how to promote the Lifetime premiere of series this Wednesday.
“I got some ideas from recent pop culture events that really got the kids talking,” White says before the video jumps to a scene of the actress crashing through a wall while riding a wrecking ball.
Unlike Miley, who chose to bare all in her latest music video however, Betty smartly chose to dress in an all-white tracksuit.
The video ends on the former Golden Girl asking if someone can bring her a sledgehammer.

Carol Burnett fans have been looking forward to her appearance on Hot In Cleveland and her reunion with Mama’s Family costar Betty White for months now. And it’s looking like the funny lady won’t disappoint, bringing that absurd sense of humor (and that voice!) that we love to tonight’s episode. Burnett plays Victoria’s (Wendie Malick) mother Penny, a local Canoga Falls TV legend and children’s program puppeteer, who’s dealing with a cluttered house and scattering mind. Watch the icon’s dramatic entrance below: READ FULL STORY
Betty White wrote a delightful letter asking fans to watch Wednesday’s live season premiere of Hot in Cleveland. The note begins “Dear Internet” and is basically perfect.
“Who knew at 91 that I would be blessed to work on yet another wonderful and fun sitcom!” White writes. “And boy, do I have a blast. Where else could I get to be a bride, a jailbird, a college freshman, and a fugitive in Amish Country?”
Later she promises, “I can guarantee you there will be no mistakes… that we can’t cover (or have fun trying!) Really what could possibly go wrong!?”
Check out the full note on Hot in Cleveland‘s Facebook page. The live episode airs tomorrow at 10 p.m. ET on TV Land, if you want to watch and make Betty happy!
Here’s something that should suddenly make this nothing day seem worthwhile: This afternoon, Katie takes a trip to the set of Hot in Cleveland, where Mary Tyler Moore, Valerie Harper, and Cloris Leachman recently filmed a guest spot alongside their old Mary Tyler Moore cast mates (and current Cleveland residents) Betty White and Georgia Engel.
Though it’s been over 30 years since the ladies appeared on a sitcom together, you’d never know it from their strong rapport. Here’s a sneak peek of Moore and Harper explaining why Mary Richards had such a hold on women. (Valerie’s explanation: “Mary is who you wish you were, Rhoda is who you probably are, and Phyllis is who you’re afraid you’ll become.”)
'Mary Tyler Moore' reunion alert: Moore, Valerie Harper, Cloris Leachman to guest on 'Hot in Cleveland'
Minneapolis’s finest are coming to Cleveland.
TV Land revealed today that Mary Tyler Moore, Valerie Harper, and Cloris Leachman will all guest star on an upcoming episode of Hot in Cleveland, Betty White’s popular TV Land sitcom. All four actresses starred in the multiple Emmy-winning Mary Tyler Moore Show. Georgia Engel, who played sweet but dim Georgette Franklin on the classic sitcom, will appear in the episode as well; she’s had a recurring role on Cleveland since last spring.
Considering that Betty White has nearly 70 years of experience in the entertainment industry, and The New Normal star NeNe Leakes is still establishing herself as an actress, you’d think White would be the only one doling out tips during their meeting of the minds. But Leakes, a reality TV pro who competed on The Celebrity Apprentice and currently appears on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has one up on White in the dramatic art… of throwing drinks in others’ faces.
For two new, Housewives-studded episodes of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers tomorrow night (the second features Beverly Hills‘ Adrienne Maloof, Camille Grammer, and Kyle Richards), Leakes pays White a visit, and hilarity ensues. Watch EW’s exclusive clip below. READ FULL STORY
When there’s funny sexual innuendo to possibly be had — like on The Client List — you’ll likely find a certain actress slinking around: Betty White. EW has confirmed that the bawdy, 90-year-old actress has been booked to appear alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt on the sexy Lifetime drama’s season finale, which will air June 10 at 10 p.m.
The Client List focuses on Riley Parks (Hewitt), a masseuse who works at The Rub of Sugar Land, a Texas spa that offers massages — and then some — to its clients.
White pops up as Ruth Gibbons in the finale, which sees Riley in charge of The Rub when her boss Georgia (Loretta Devine) goes out of town. Gibbons, it turns out, is the wife of one of Riley’s clients and offers up some advice about how to make marriage last.
What does your grandmother do in her spare time? Let’s hope that it’s nothing like what you’ll see this week on Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, NBC’s new reality series in which senior citizens exact their Punk’d-style revenge on the rest of us.
In this sneak-peek clip from tomorrow night’s episode (8 p.m. ET), our young mark is approached by one of our regular pranksters (Reatha Grey), who claims to be a newbie responding to his granny fetish ad. Click on the video below to enjoy some awkwardness that crosses the generation gap. READ FULL STORY
As we told you back in December, Ed Asner is headed for a Mary Tyler Moore reunion with his old costar Betty White on TV Land’s throwback sitcom Hot in Cleveland. And now, EW has the exclusive first look at his role on the show, which finds him playing Jameson Lyons, the president of a prestigious country club in Cleveland.
The video below presents Asner in all his sitcom glory, going toe to toe with Cleveland‘s three hotties, Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli), Joy (Jane Leeves), and Victoria (Wendie Malick), as they make an attempt to join his country club.
In the clip, Elka (White) is nowhere to be found until near the end when it’s revealed that — wait for it — she used to work (in the name of all things Lou Grant, there’s the wink!) with Jameson, who fired her after he hit on her and she turned him down. Or so she says. Apparently, Elka spends the episode trying to avenge those wrongs from the past.
Jon Lovitz, James Patrick Stuart, and Maree Cheatham also guest star in the episode, which airs tonight on TV Land. Get a sneak peek of Asner on Hot in Cleveland here:
TV Land sure hopes so, giving critics a look at Retired at 35, the network’s follow up to its surprise smash Hot in Cleveland.
At the Television Critics Association’s semi-annual press tour, Walter and George Segal joined youngsters Josh McDermitt and Johnathan McCain as the cast of the network’s latest AARP-friendly comedy.
Reporters couldn’t resist asking Walter an Arrested Development question, asking her to compare the experience of working on Fox’s show to TV Land’s latest. And she says… READ FULL STORY
