'Supernatural' alum to recur on 'The Originals' -- EXCLUSIVE

Dracula is coming to The Originals…sorta.

EW has learned exclusively that CW’s forthcoming Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals, has cast Supernatural alum Todd Stashwick, who fans of that show will recall played a Dracula-impersonating shapeshifter during season 4’s “Monster Movie.” The actor is set to recur in the role of Father Kieran starting in episode 4 of the show’s freshman season, which kicks off Oct 3.

“Kieran is a tortured Priest with a dark past,” executive producer Julie Plec says. “Once a powerful and pragmatic diplomat between the humans and the various supernatural factions in New Orleans, he returns home looking for answers about a personal tragedy but finds a very different landscape than when he left.”

Alexis Denisof books 'Grimm' arc

Angel alum Alexis Denisof is getting back into the supernatural business.

EW has confirmed the actor will appear on the upcoming third season of NBC’s Grimm. He will play a character named Viktor Albert Wilhelm George Beckendorf, a cunning man who also happens to be first cousin of Eric Renard (James Frain). (As you’ll recall, Eric and Sasha Roiz’s Sean Renard are only half-brothers.)

The role reunites Denisof, currently a recurring player on How I Met Your Mother (on which his wife Alyson Hannigan stars), with Angel co-creator David Greenwalt, who also co-created Grimm with Jim Kouf. He is set to appear on a recurring basis during the new season, which kicks off Oct. 25.

Jerry Springer, 'Office' UK alum to visit 'The Neighbors' -- EXCLUSIVE

A couple of guest stars coming to the neighborhood.

First up, EW has learned that Jerry Springer will appear in the season premiere of ABC’s The Neighbors, playing a virtual moderator (sort of like a Siri hologram). No word on how the part is weaved into the story, but this show takes place in the weirdest neighborhood on TV, so the possibilities are endless.

Meanwhile, EW has also learned that Lucy Davis, of The Office UK fame, is set to appear in the third episode of the season playing a character named Helen, an elegantly dressed and very proper British woman who inherits a fast food restaurant in a divorce settlement. As new owner, Helen crosses paths with Jackie, who starts working there this season (yes, outside the community!)  and is aiming for a promotion. The problem? “An incident” will apparently affect the possibility of Jackie getting a raise she seeks.

The Neighbors returns Sept. 20 on ABC.

'Happy Endings' alum Eliza Coupe lands recurring role on 'The Millers'

Happy Endings fans, rejoice! Eliza Coupe will be back on your TV this fall.

The actress has been snagged by CBS’s forthcoming comedy The Millers, EW has learned exclusively. She will recur on the show as the ex-wife of Nate (Will Arnett)  and first appear in the Oct. 24 episode.

Coupe’s addition to The Millers, which also stars Margo Martindale and Beau Bridges, rounds out a supporting cast that already includes Glee star Jayma Mays, who will play Nate’s sister Debbie, and VEEP‘s Nelson Franklin, who will play Debbie’s husband.

Meanwhile, Coupe is not the first Happy Endings cast member to land a post-cancellation gig. Adam Pally and Damon Wayans Jr. have secured spots on The Mindy Project and New Girl, respectively while Casey Wilson landed a network deal at ABC.

The Millers premieres on Oct. 3.

'Hawaii Five-0' books Melanie Griffith for guest spot as...

Say hello to Mama Danno.

Melanie Griffith has been recruited by Hawaii Five-0 to play mother to Danny (Scott Caan) in an episode set to air this season. CBS made the announcement this morning on their Twitter account.

Details regarding on which episode she will appear and the length of her stay were not immediately available, EW was told.

Griffith has been no stranger to TV in recent years, appearing on both Hot in Cleveland and Raising Hope.

H50 kicks off its fourth season Sept. 27.

'Big Brother' winner Hayden Moss to appear on 'Survivor: Blood vs. Water'

Earlier this summer, Jeff Probst officially broke the news on Entertainment Weekly Radio that the 27th season of Survivor — titled Blood Vs. Water — would feature returning Survivor players and their loved ones. And now we can officially reveal that one of those pairs will be Survivor: One World’s Kat Edorsson and her boyfriend, Big Brother season 12 champ Hayden Moss. And the two talk about it for the first time right here! While players from both Survivor and Big Brother have appeared on fellow CBS reality competition show The Amazing Race — and a relative of Survivor’s Russell and Brandon Hantz, Willie, played on last summer’s Big Brother — Hayden will become the first person to have appeared on both programs.

In the video interview below (which was shot on location), I asked the couple which show is harder, Survivor or Big Brother. “I will answer that question exactly in about 39 days,” said Hayden the day before the game began. “Really, I’ll be the only person ever that can answer that question. So I’m excited to test it out and see what Survivor is all about.” READ FULL STORY

'The Mindy Project' snags 'Justified' star Timothy Olyphant for guest spot

The Mindy Project‘s casting department has hit another home run.

EW can confirm that Justified star Timothy Olyphant is going to take a break from playing tough-as-nails U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens to guest star on the Fox comedy as … a professional skateboarder. Per the Los Angeles Times, his character is named Graham Logan, a wild pro boarder who “nearly runs Mindy over in Union Square before asking her out on a date.”

The episode is set to air sometime early during the show’s sophomore run, which kicks off Sept. 17.

Olyphant joins a season 2 guest star list that already includes James Franco, Glenn Howerton, and Adam Pally.

'Once Upon a Time' finds its Ariel

JoAnna Garcia Swisher is coming to Once Upon a Time!

EW confirms that the  Privileged alum will play the iconic mermaid Ariel starting in the sixth episode of the new season and will appear in at least two episodes. TV Guide first reported her casting.

News of the actress’s new gig comes just weeks after EW broke the news that Rose McIver would be stepping in to fill the role of Tinkerbell, who is set to debut in the third season as well.

'Blue Bloods' casts Broadway vet Bebe Neuwirth as Frank's [spoiler]

Bebe Neuwirth and Tom Selleck are going to clash when the Broadway vet comes to Blue Bloods later this year.

EW has learned the Frasier alum has booked a three-episode arc on the CBS cop procedural playing a character named Kelly Peterson, a beautiful, stylish and charming woman who is the new Inspector General overseeing Frank’s department. But while Kelly and Frank will be at odds, it wasn’t always that way. The two are said to have met several years ago and, at the time, “sparks definitely flew.” (Well, this could be awkward…)

Neuwirth, who most recently appeared on The Good Wife, will first appear in an October episode.

Blue Bloods is set to begin its fourth season Sept. 27 on CBS.

CW's 'Star-Crossed' enlists 'Ray Donovan' actor for recurring role -- EXCLUSIVE

Johnathon Schaech is about to get Star-Crossed.

The actor, who is currently appearing on Showtime’s Ray Donovan, is set to recur as Castor, uncle to Matt Lanter’s teenage alien Roman on the CW’s upcoming midseason drama about two teens (Lanter and Aimee Teegarden) who struggle to maintain a romance in a time in which Atrians (the aliens) and humans struggle to integrate.

Castor is said to have a dark and shady past as a radical militant Atrian, but he claims to have changed his ways to be more temperate and pro-integration. But Roman still has his doubts — even after Castor proves himself to be an effective politician within the Sector.

Schaech, who currently plays a famous actor on Ray Donvan, has recently made appearances on The Client List and Drop Dead Diva and is probably best known for playing “the super hot one” Jimmy in 1996’s That Thing You Do!

'Witches of East End' conjures up guest spot for Freddie Prinze Jr. -- EXCLUSIVE

It’s a Freddie reunion!

EW has learned exclusively that Freddie Prinze Jr. has signed on to guest star in an episode of the upcoming Lifetime drama Witches of East End, in a part that will reunite him with former Freddie co-star Madchen Amick.

Prinze will play Leo Wingate, a gallant and sweetly shy entomologist who falls head over heels for Wendy Beauchamp (Amick). The scholar is said to specialize in rare and exotic insects, and he soon begins to wonder whether Wendy is more interested in his body or his bugs.  He is set to guest star in the fourth episode, with more episodes possible.

On Freddie, a 2005-06 comedy which starred and was created by Prinze, Amick played the sister-in-law of the title character. Following the cancellation of that show, Prinze’s next high-profile TV gig was on Fox’s 24, where he played Cole Ortiz during the eighth season. Recently, Prinze also booked a guest spot on the season premiere of Bones.

Witches of East End premieres Sunday, Oct. 6 at 10 p.m.
