'How I Met Your Mother,' 'Criminal Minds,' 'Gossip Girl,' 'The Office': Find out what's next in the Spoiler Room

Hello from, L.A.!

The sun is shining, the Television Critics Association press tour is in full swing, there’s a party with Fox network stars tonight, I’m in the pacific time zone — which means this column is only an hour late — and I ate my weight in french fries from a food truck last night on Melrose Ave. I’m feelin’ pretty damn good, Roomies. And I hope you feel the same after reading this week’s scoop!

If not, you should probably e-mail me scoop requests to spoilerroom@EW.com. We’ll try again next week. And yes, this intro is particularly sunny because I’m hoping that will stop people from e-mailing me spam for Zoloft. If this doesn’t do the trick, I don’t know what will.

‘HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER': NOW THAT’S A WEDDING!

True to their word, creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas confirmed that this upcoming season’s first episode takes place at Punchy’s wedding in Cleveland a few days after the finale. But what’s the gang going through exactly? Well, in Lily’s case, she’s finds herself struggling to keep her and Marshall’s big announcement a secret. READ FULL STORY

We’re coming up to that point of the year, Roomies, where all the season finales are wrapping up and so is my will to take any more emotional abuse from showrunners. Kidding – and also not. Nonetheless, when the last major finales wrap up, it’ll be like opening the last present on Christmas Day. You’re satisfied…yet sad.

But fear not. Summer TV brings its bounty not too long after and we should rejoice in that. So please send your questions to me. AND if you have any burning questions/general comments about any season finales, send those in, too. We’ll track down some answers, yeah?

Here are the details: Email spoilerroom@ew.com (note the two “R”s) or Tweet me at @EWSandraG. READ FULL STORY

Season finale alert! When to expect goodbye episodes from 'Survivor,' 'Chuck,' and 'Saturday Night Live'

Where did the time ago? It seems like just yesterday that we were anxiously awaiting the start of Lone Star; now we can barely remember that two-timing cad. That’s because it’s season finale time – that heartbreaking period when we bid adieu to nine months of scripted heaven to make way for three months of unscripted hell on the broadcast networks. (Don’t worry, Big Brother: We still adore thee).

Fire up your DVR playlists, kids … here are all the broadcast net finales. READ FULL STORY

What’s this?

There are finales everywhere. What’s this?

I can’t believe my eyes; I must be dreaming. Wake up, Sandra, this isn’t fair!

Woah! Musical introduction. This is what the end of the season does to me, folks. I’m losing it. But that also means summer’s on the way, so remember to start sending your scoop requests for summer TV soon! And, as a special treat, please also send your season finale questions as well.

As usual, all queries/suggestions/ponderings get sent to spoilerroom@ew.com or @EWSandraG. And as a reminder, we’re on summer schedule now. So Spoiler Room will be on Fridays only, until late summer.

Thanks, y’all.

‘CRIMINAL MINDS’ FINALE WILL TACKLE BAU’s UNCERTAIN FUTURE

With some key cast members of Criminal Minds still without contracts for next season (i.e., Shemar Moore and the beloved Thomas Gibson), exec producer Erica Messer has penned a cliffhanger for the May 18 finale that will nod to the team’s shaky future — but not with guns and explosions. It will tackle the financial realities of crime fighting — and possible cutbacks in BAU. “It’s a more authentic version of ‘Our team is in jeopardy,’ ” she says. “This instead is, ‘There could be big trouble here, hopefully not,’ but we need to at least acknowledge that it’s on the horizon.” READ FULL STORY

Was it all your cards and letters that made CBS change its mind? Or was it that the dark and dreary drama never felt the same once the gentle JJ left the crime scene? Let the actress explain while she helps to promote the show’s May 18 finale.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: How many episodes did you appear in this season?
A.J. COOK:
Including the finale, it will be four.

Will the finale involve a cliffhanger? READ FULL STORY

'Criminal Minds' news: A.J. Cook in talks to return

It’s true, A.J. Cook is in talks to return to Criminal Minds as a series regular.

The former Minds co-star left the show at the start of this season after her character was transferred to a job at the Pentagon, but is now in discussions to rejoin the show for next fall.

Minds is also on the verge of getting a new mastermind: Sources confirm longtime showrunner Ed Bernero is exiting the CBS crime drama. All told, quite a shakeup on a solidly performing series.

'Criminal Minds': Matthew Gray Gubler on episode 'rife with tiger blood'

Tonight’s episode of Criminal Minds is a big one that I’ve already teased. But in our inaugural conversation, Matthew Gray Gubler (Dr. Spencer Reid) pretty much sums it up better than I ever could. Proceed for insight from the star and second-time CM director as he talks about what it was like having A.J. Cook (J.J.) back on set, the farewell of Paget Brewster (Emily Prentiss), and… tiger blood?

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: How was it giving directing a second shot?
MATTHEW GRAY GUBLER: It was as great as the first time, if not even better. It’s sort of one of my main loves in life, so it was tremendous to be in the directing frame of mind and in the chair. READ FULL STORY
