'General Hospital': Who does accident-prone Jason think he is now? -- EXCLUSIVE TEASER

Okay, someone really needs to keep Jason from getting behind the wheel of cars. Now that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) went and got himself into yet another auto accident on General Hospital, the women in his life (his mom, his ex, his fiancee — oy, there are so many!) are now dreaming of what life could have been, had his memory not been wiped clean in the first place.

This makes my head hurt. Clearly, I’m not alone: Check out Jason’s “injuries” in this action-packed promo:

'All My Children' creator to appear on sudser

All My Children will pay tribute to its creator this month by featuring Agnes Nixon in a cameo role.

Nixon, who launched the sudser in 1970, will reprise her part as Agnes Eckhardt, a member of the Pine Vally Hospital board. She first appeared on AMC in 2005 to help the show celebrate its 35th anniversary. This time, her character is admitted to the hospital where Cara (Lindsay Hartley) and David (Vincent Irizarry) take care of her. She also runs into Erica Kane (Susan Lucci).

All My Children ends it run on ABC on Sept. 23.

Josh Duhamel on returning to 'All My Children': 'I always wanted to go back'

It seems like you never stay dead on soap operas. But All My Children‘s Leo du Pres remained among the deceased longer than most. Or so we thought, anyway.

Today, Josh Duhamel’s beloved con man made his return to Pine Valley after a nine-year absence. “I guess in a way it was just my way of saying thank you to go back and do an episode,” Duhamel says of the long-running serial, which is set to air its final episode Sept. 23 before debuting as a web series by online production company Prospect Park on Sept. 26.

“I’ve been thinking about it for years. I always wanted to go back, even if it was just walking in the background of a scene and have the characters go, ‘Wait…was that Leo?'” A double-take would be merited. To conclude his three-year arc in 2002, Duhamel’s Leo plunged into a raging waterfall — although his body was never found — while trying to protect his wife, Greenlee (Rebecca Budig). In today’s episode, Greenlee, now married to Cameron Mathison’s Ryan Lavery, woke up in a hospital to find — shock! — Leo asleep on a gurney. Tomorrow’s installment will conclude Duhamel’s arc and “provide closure” on the Leo-Greenlee relationship, the actor says.  READ FULL STORY

Sarah Michelle Gellar will guest star on 'All My Children'

UPDATED: It’s official: Sarah Michelle Gellar will return to All My Children for a guest star appearance during the show’s final batch of episodes — but not in her previous role as Kendall.

“I can today officially confirm that I will be doing a guest spot on All My Children,” Gellar told critics. “When I heard that the show was canceled, I didn’t understand. Like, ‘forget it, it just doesn’t make sense to me.’ And I called Judy Blye Wilson, who is the casting director and has been since I was there, and I said, ‘I want to do something.’ And I was very specific — I don’t want to be Kendall. That’s Alicia’s role, but I just wanted to be a part of it. I have no idea what I’m going to be doing. So we can take suggestions, but I will be doing one day. Yeah, I’m excited.”

The show will end its run on ABC Sept. 23 and is expected to return in some form on the internet, though not details have been released.

Gellar was on hand to promote her new CW show Ringer and says she was relieved when the show was passed on by CBS and instead landed at The CW. READ FULL STORY

Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn talk return to 'Days of Our Lives'

Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn are back! Well, not yet. But they’re looking forward to Sept. 26, which will mark the pair’s return to Days of Our Lives and, they say, hopefully a return to the reality-based storytelling that once kept fans coming back for years.

In the video below, the pair chat about their big return and the show’s plan to get viewers back. Hall, who was controversially let go from the show in 2009, says she’s glad to be back after a period of experimentation with “science fiction-y” storytelling. “Everyone is taking chances trying to find out where the audience is. When it gets down to it, they want the simple story,” she says.

Patrick Muldoon and Christie Clark return to 'Days of Our Lives'

Some old lovers are returning to Salem. EW has confirmed that Patrick Muldoon (Austin Reed) and Christie Clark (Carrie Brady) will make their way back to the NBC sudser in September. Clark last appeared on Days in 2010, having worked on and off on the soap since the mid-80s. Muldoon left the show in 1995 to launch a TV (Melrose Place) and film (Starship Troopers) career.

They’ll go in front of the Days camera next week.

The return of Muldoon and Clark is just one many changes that Executive Producer Ken Corday is planning for the venerable soap. After hiring two new head writers to replace Dena Higley, Corday’s team has promised to return to more character-based storylines this fall. In addition, the show recently hired Freddie Smith (90210) to enter a same-sex relationship on the traditionally conservative show.
