Question: Is Emilie de Ravin going to be back on Lost for the whole season or just a few episodes? And will we get to see what happened to her? —Jared
Ausiello:
The answer to both of your questions is a resounding yeppers. Better prepare yourself though. My Lost mole says season 6 will showcase “a version of Claire we’ve never seen before — a Rousseau-esque version.” We’ll be in need of a Rousseau fix since the real version will be MIA. According to a Lost insider, the French Lady’s portrayer, Mira Furlan, turned down the show’s request to return for the final season due to a “prior overseas commitment.” Anyone know how you say “big bag-o-nuts” in français?

Question: I’m tired of people bitching about Gossip Girl being in a creative slump. I’m loving this season. Got scoop? —Alex
Ausiello:
I’m (mostly) loving this season, too. The Chuck-Blair stuff continues to be immensely satisfying. And Hilary Duff isn’t nearly as annoying as I thought she’d be. On the scoop front, there’s a big Blair-Serena blow-up coming. The frenemies will definitely be on the outs for a little bit. READ FULL STORY

Exclusive: Who's dying on 'Desperate Housewives'?

dying-on-Desperate-Housewives_lIt’s a showrunner’s prerogative to change his mind. So, although he insisted he wasn’t killing off any characters in this November’s big Wisteria Lane plane crash, Desperate Housewives boss man Marc Cherry has decided, on second thought, to kill several, including one that my mole says is a fan favorite. But who? Beats me, but frontrunners for the ill-fated fan fave, as far as I can see, are: READ FULL STORY

'Desperate Housewives' exclusive: Catastrophe rocks Wisteria Lane

Desperate-Housewives_lThat noise you hear is the sound of property values plummeting on Wisteria Lane. This November on Desperate Housewives, the most dangerous street in America will be the site of yet another calamity, this time a neighborhood plane crash.

“It’s going to be my cliffhanger for the first half of the season,” series creator Marc Cherry says of the tragedy, which, he adds, will “affect everyone’s lives.” READ FULL STORY

Question: All I ask for is some scoop from one of my “G” shows: Glee, Greek, Gossip Girl, or Grey’s Anatomy. —April
Ausiello:
For a second there I thought I was finally going to be able to unload the humongous Gary Unmarried scoop I’ve been sitting on. Maybe next week. In the meantime, here’s something on Grey’s: Seattle Grace’s merger with Mercy West claims its first victim this week. (Hint: The pink-slipped party is female and has been around since season 1. And no, it’s not Mer. Or Izzie. Or Cristina. Or Bailey.)

Question: Is there any good Grey’s Anatomy scoop? —Bryan
Ausiello:
There is if you’re a Calzona ‘shipper: Seattle Grace’s token lesbians make it official this week. Well, officialish.

Question: Rumor has it that Ausiello has been slacking on his Gossip Girl scoop. —Tina
Ausiello:
Rumor has it you smell, but you don’t see me spreading that around, do you? Here’s your damn GG scoop: Tyra Banks’ guest turn as a tempestuous film actress in Monday’s episode is highlarious. Even better, she wasn’t trying to be funny, so you’ll be laughing at her and not with her! Awesome, right? Well, the news just keeps getting better ’cause I gots me a clip! READ FULL STORY

'Housewives' exclusive: Find out why Mike picked (spoiler alert)!

desperate-housewives_lIf you have yet to watch tonight’s Desperate Housewives premiere, stop reading now. For everyone else, onward and downward…

Housewives wasted no time resolving last May’s “Who’d Mike marry?” cliffhanger. In the opening minutes of tonight’s sixth-season opener, it was revealed that Mike picked soul mate Susan over Katherine. Surprised? Join the club. I thought for sure Housewives boss Marc Cherry would drag out the Susan-Mike romance for another season at least. Heck, he essentially threatened to do just that last April at Paley Fest ’09, telling fans he would likely string us along for “a few more years” before marrying them off. So what happened to change his mind? READ FULL STORY

Question: Has it dawned on anyone that Taub and Thirteen’s three-year fellowships are about to end on House? Do you know if the show plans to follow through on that? And, if so, does this mean Peter Jacobson and Olivia Wilde are leaving? —Mindy
Ausiello:
It certainly dawned on me. And it dawned on series creator David Shore — at least it did when I reminded him recently. He says he hasn’t figured out what will happen to Taub and Thirteen after their fellowships expire. Luckily, time is on his side. “It won’t be until the end of the season,” he says, adding that it’s not in his nature to gloss over such plot points. “I don’t like those things to be fake-outs.” What do you think? Do you want Taub and Thirteen to stay on? Or are you hoping they opt to seek greener pastures? Cast your votes in the comments section!

Question: Will Cuddy find out that House had real sex with that woman (a.k.a. Franka Potente) while in the asylum? —Gregory
Ausiello:
Not anytime soon, according to Lisa Edelstein. “She doesn’t know about the real girl or the real sex he has in the season premiere,” she says. “So far in scripts I have read she has not acknowledged that she knows. They certainly haven’t discussed it. It might break her heart.” Regardless, Edelstein says the House-Cuddy dynamic “continues to have its ups and downs” this season. “She has to eventually deal with him coming back [to work] and what his role will be and how will she handle him and what kind of state is he coming back in. They have feelings for each other — deeper than colleagues. But who knows if they will ever be right for each other? They never seem to be coming at each other at the same time. We are having fun no matter how we play it. Being at odds and playing off Hugh is great fun. If we ever get together I just don’t want it to seems false or forced, but I trust Katie and David to make the right moves.” READ FULL STORY

Exclusive: ABC plots groundbreaking 'Housewives' spin-off

desperate-housewives_lIt was bound to happen: The increasing depletion of TV ad dollars as a result of digital video recorders has led one network to commit murder.

ABC has recruited Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry to produce a series of eight commercials for Sprint that will unfold as a weekly soap opera. The goal? Pausing the fast-forward phenomenon.

“They’re kind of like the old Taster’s Choice commercials, but we added a lot of wicked dark humor, murder and adultery and betrayal,” explains Cherry of the 35-second spots, which will air once a week during Housewives beginning with the Sept. 27 premiere. READ FULL STORY

Question: Grey’s Anatomy scoop on Owen and Cristina, please! —Jenilee
Ausiello:
They’re headed for a dry spell. In the season premiere, Amy Madigan’s shrink advises Owen against making any further sexy time with Cristina until he can get the voices in his head to shut the hell up. Relax, they’re not breaking up. Just taking things slooooow.

Question: No Grey’s Anatomy scoop in the last Ask Ausiello? Forget trying to get Mark-Lexie scoop, I’ll take anything on Grey’s at this point! —Maddy
Ausiello:
Too bad, because Mark-Lexie scoop is what you’re getting. “They’ve got a lot of challenges coming down the pike,” concedes exec producer Krista Vernoff. “The most consistent challenge is the one that’s built into the fabric of their relationship: He’s pushing 40, she’s in her early 20s.”

Question: What will happen to Patrick Dempsey on Grey’s when Ellen Pompeo heads off on maternity leave? —Jacob
Ausiello:

Question: Give us a House spoiler, please! —Zachary
Ausiello:

Question: Grey’s Anatomy fans are buzzing about a possible Derek and Meredith break-up this season. Please tell me it isn’t true. —Katherine
Ausiello:
It isn’t true. Here’s what is true: The Mer-Der relationship will be written a little lighter during the first half of the season as a result of Ellen Pompeo’s real-life pregnancy and subsequent maternity leave. “I think we would be irresponsible writers if we didn’t give a woman who’s seven-months pregnant a little less time on her feet,” maintains exec producer Krista Vernoff. “She’s waddling around seven-months pregnant about to push a baby out of her body. We have a responsibility to alleviate her screen time a little bit.” That said, Vernoff insists Mer-Der are at no risk of losing their title as Seattle Grace’s reigning super couple. “It would be false to say that Mer and Der are no longer the focus of the series,” she says. “Derek and Mer will always be a focus of the series.”

Question: If you don’t give us some 30 Rock scoopage, I shall cry. —Amy
Ausiello:
No tears, please. They, um, creep me out. So you hold back the flood waters, and I’ll tell you some stuff, okay? Deal? In the season’s fourth episode, Liz will endeavor to round out the cast of TGS with a new member, naturally leaning toward a hire who is more than just crazy talented. (Or less than just crazy talented… as in just crazy.) That same episode will introduce a wannabe who’s hoping to be discovered while pretending he’s a robot in Times Square. Since the character’s supposed to recur, his dream just might come true. READ FULL STORY

'Housewives' scoop: Julie's coming home

Andrea-Bowen_l Wisteria Lane is welcoming back one of its own this fall: Original Desperate Housewives star Andrea Bowen has signed on to reprise her role as Susan’s eldest spawn, Julie.

Although ABC would only confirm that Bowen is set to appear in the Sept. 27 season premiere, a Housewives insider tells me that the actress is returning as a series regular.

Bowen vanished from Housewives at the end of season 4, a casualty of the show’s four-year flash forward. She briefly returned last season when Julie, on break from college, announced that she was dating her 40-year-old professor Lloyd (Steven Weber). It’s not clear if he’ll be accompanying her back home, but I’m guessing not.

Reaction to Julie’s reappearance? Sound off below!
