Felicia Day talks her return to 'Supernatural,' female video game costumes, and 'The Guild'

Everyone’s favorite hacker-turned-LARPing queen-turned-hunter-in-training is back. Yes, tonight’s episode of Supernatural will again feature Felicia Day as Charlie, now in her third appearance in the series.

The last time Supernatural fans saw Charlie, in January’s “LARP and the Real Girl,” she wasn’t too pleased to see Sam and Dean show up on her LARP stomping grounds, Moondoor. “If you guys are here, monsters are here,” she told them. But she has since warmed to the idea of being in the midst of the supernatural. In tonight’s episode, it’s Charlie who brings a case to the Winchester boys.

This newest episode, called “Pac-Man Fever,” nods to Day’s passion for gaming that she has put on display in her web series The Guild. Charlie and Dean find themselves inside a very video game-like world.

Day tells EW that the episode features some serious, emotional scenes that deepen the brother-sister-esque relationship between Dean and Charlie, but there are also plenty of comedic moments.

“I would definitely say look forward to [a scene in a] clothing store for some of the funniest Dean reactions on the planet,” Day teased.

Read on for more from Day about shooting the episode, meeting Supernatural fans, and how “Pac-Man Fever” features some Tomb Raider inspirations. READ FULL STORY

'Supernatural' First Look: Charlie and Dean team up for a case -- EXCLUSIVE PHOTO

She’s baaaaaack!

LARPing hacker Charlie (Felicia Day) is back for her third Supernatural appearance in the April 24 episode, but this time around, instead of Dean and Sam delving into her world, it’s going to be Charlie who’s a little out of her element.

In the episode, Dean (Jensen Ackles) benches Sam (Jared Padalecki) from hunting because he’s still suffering side-effects from the second trial. So when Charlie calls with a case, Dean decides it’s time for her to hone her hunting skills and gives her some lessons in Hunting 101 (complete with cheap pant-suit!). Things take a turn, however, when Dean and Sam begin to suspect that Charlie is hiding a secret that could get her killed.

'Supernatural': Felicia Day on her guest spot and the line everyone will be quoting

Few names carry more weight in the geek world than Felicia Day. But tonight, she adds yet another genre credit to her list of accomplishments — including roles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog — with a guest spot on CW’s Supernatural.

Her introduction to the Supernatural universe on tonight’s episode, “Girl With the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo,” was certainly a long time coming. And surprisingly, the same can be said for her introduction to the show’s stars, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, with whom she’s had “several near misses” at fan conventions over the years. “Meeting them in person, I have to tell you, bowled me over because they are so manly,” she says with a laugh. “It was overwhelming because I’m not around a lot of jocks and guys’ guys. It was like walking into a romance novel a little bit. They have this crazy charisma.”

But once the initial shock — or “blast of testosterone,” as she puts it — wore off, jumping into the role of computer hacker Charlie was natural and enjoyable, she says. “She has all these amazing qualities that I haven’t seen put in one character before,” she says. ” When I picked up the script, I was like, ‘I can’t wait to say all these words!'” Among them? One tattoo-related line that she says will be “oft quoted.” “I look forward to watching Twitter,” she jokes.

Trending topic or not, Day says the role was a rewarding one — from her time on screen to the geek-with-edge aspect of her character. “She has these superficial things that you think I would be natural at playing but at the center of it there is a lot more to her than you think. She’s not just a nervous Nelly,” she says. “She has a strength that grounds her that is unique for the characters I’ve played. I loved being able to find that.” READ FULL STORY

'Guild' priestess Felicia Day talks about sex, baby

felicia-day-interviewWhat would Comic-Con be without a Felicia Day run-in? A travesty of epic proportions, that’s what. Luckily, the coolest female geek on the planet carved out time in her packed Con sked to chat about season 4 of The Guild and the possibility of long-lasting love with the evil Wil Wheaton (a.k.a. Fawkes). READ FULL STORY

'Lie to Me' first look: Felicia Day revisits 'Dr. Horrible' triumph

Members of the Cult of Felicia Day now have even more reason to tune into Lie to Me on Monday: The Queen of all things nerdtastic and awesome not only acts, but sings!

In the episode — the drama’s fall finale — Day guests as a teacher who brings her class to the Lightman Group on a field trip, only to get stranded there when a disgruntled farmer threatens to blow up DC. In an effort to entertain/distract the little kiddies, Day’s character performs a duet with Loker (Brendan Hines).

The end result has iTunes smash written all over it. At the very least, the addictive, so-wrong-it’s-right track better be on Hines’ next album. But don’t take my word for it. Watch the scene after the jump and post your sure-to-be-glowing reviews in the comments section! READ FULL STORY
