'How I Met Your Mother' promo: Barney makes a run for it and Lily lets a secret slip -- VIDEO

We’re just a few weeks away from the Sept. 24 season premiere of How I Met Your Mother, and if you’re not excited, get there. Here are a few reasons:

1. As the brand new promo shows, we’re going to see much more from Robin and Barney’s wedding day, which hopefully doesn’t end with Barney on the run. (Though, Barney, I agree that cornflower blue was a better choice.)
2. We get to see Thomas Lennon as Klaus!
3. And “We’re going to show the fans a glimpse of something that we hope will blow their minds,” executive producer Craig Thomas promises. If the answer isn’t “grizzly bear in a tux,” my mind whirls with exciting possibilities.

Zach Gilford talks morality and the mafia in 'The Mob Doctor' -- EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK

MOB-DOCTOR

The Hippocratic Oath and mob ties don’t seem like they’d make for a good mix, and that’s exactly where Fox’s upcoming series The Mob Doctor derives its drama. In the upcoming Sopranos-meets-ER drama, Chicago thoracic surgeon Grace Devlin (Jordana Spiro) is forced to use her unique skill set to pay off her brother’s debt to a local crime boss (William Forsythe). Without spoiling too much, it’s safe to say there will be screwdrivers lodged in heads and infirmed horse races involved. And those are just Grace’s nights! During her day job, Grace works alongside her blueblooded boyfriend Brett Robinson, played by Zach Gilford. The Friday Night Lights alum talked exclusive to EW about what to expect when the mafia infiltrates the O.R. READ FULL STORY »

'The Exes': Judith Light returns as Kristen Johnston's mother -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

Can there ever be too much Judith Light on television? In a word: no. Which is why it’s good that the Who’s the Boss? legend is returning to her guesting gig on TV Land’s sitcom The Exes, where she plays the over-bearing mother to Kristen Johnston’s divorce lawyer character Holly Brooks. EW has an exclusive clip of Light’s reappearance on The Exes in tomorrow night’s new episode, titled “Sister Act,” which also stars Amanda Detmer as Light’s other, more beloved, perfect daughter Jill.

Just like last time, the appearance of Light’s motherly character ruffles Holly’s feathers, largely because she’s so often pushed to the side in favor of her perfect — and married — sister. The full episode apparently finds Holly inventing an alternative lifestyle for herself that spirals out of control (to impress Mommy Dearest maybe?), but until it airs Wednesday evening at 10:30 p.m., whet your appetite with a preview clip of Light’s return — and the fireworks it causes — here:

'American Horror Story': Watch the creepy new teaser for season 2 -- VIDEO

FX’s American Horror Story: Asylum doesn’t begin its terror-filled second season until late October but today the first teaser was released and… it’s really friggin’ creepy. What could she be feeding? What lives in that woods? Watch below… READ FULL STORY »

'Bob's Burgers' season 3 scoops: Loren Bouchard and H. Jon Benjamin reveal guests and plots

BOBS-BURGERS

On the heels of Bob’s Burgers recent Best Animated Series Emmy nomination, we caught up with series creator Loren Bouchard and star H. Jon Benjamin to chat about their upcoming third season (premiering Sept. 30 on FOX).

The duo (who’ve worked together before on Dr. Katz and Home Movies) gave us a taste of some of their favorite new plotlines and dished out on the top-notch guests they were able to snag this year — like Jon Hamm, who’ll be playing a talking toilet. “It’s a kind of E.T. homage, but instead of an alien, it’s this high-end talking electronic toilet that falls off a truck and lands in the woods,” says Bouchard. “And Gene [Eugene Mirman] finds it, E.T.-style. It’s kind of a love story between a boy and a toilet.”

MTV's 'The Inbetweeners': Watch the first two minutes of the new teen comedy -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

MTV has been red hot in the scripted arena, with buzzy entries such as Teen Wolf and Awkward. And the teen network isn’t just resting on those shows. Next up: The Inbetweeners, a story adapted from a popular British format that follows a group of middling teens in high school. EW has an exclusive first look at the series, via the first two minutes of the pilot, which can be viewed below.

To be more specific, The Inbetweeners chronicles the lives of those kids who aren’t on top or bottom of the social ladder — but the ones who are right in the middle and, yes, may even be more invisible than the lowly nerds. MTV describes the show as such: “The Inbetweeners takes a comedic look at a group of teenagers navigating high school and charging into adulthood the way everyone does…by taking one step forward and three steps back.”

At San Diego Comic-Con, MTV released a glimpse at the series, during a panel for Teen Wolf. But now, EW exclusively presents the first two minutes of the premiere here:
