CBS and Warner Bros. announced today that The CW and Hulu have struck a five-year licensing deal to allow the website to stream CW shows on Hulu and Hulu Plus. This encompasses network tentpoles 90210, America’s Next Top Model, Gossip Girl, Supernatural, and The Vampire Diaries, as well as Ringer, Hart of Dixie, The Secret Circle, and Nikita. Under the agreement, up to five in-season episodes will only be featured on Hulu Plus for eight days following the broadcast, at which point they will be available on the ad-supported free Hulu site. “The CW programming is a great example of the kind of in-season content we want to make available,” said Hulu’s SVP of Content Andy Forssell. “Making these shows available on Hulu and Hulu Plus will allow new and existing fans to get their fix of The CW’s great shows anytime and anywhere.”

'Fringe,' 'The Walking Dead,' 'Suburgatory,' 'Once Upon a Time': Find out what's next in the Spoiler Room
Just kidding. Last night was actually the most baseball I’ve watched since the last time I watched a repeat of A League of Their Own on TBS, so don’t take that declaration too seriously. I don’t care who wins — either way, we don’t get Fringe tonight. Pfft.
That said, I have some scoop today that will hopefully satisfy your need for one more week — or make the delay even more painful. I can’t decide which is more truthful, but let’s try to see the sunny side of things.
In other news, enjoy spoils and teases from a ton of other shows below! If you don’t see a show you like, send me an e-mail with your request: email@example.com. (I read and appreciate them all!) Twitter also works: @EWSandraG. I also try to comb comments, but I sometimes miss those. To make sure they reach my eyes, use the two previously mentioned methods. Don’t be shy!
See y’all next week!
‘FRINGE': WHAT YOU WON’T SEE TONIGHT
As great as last night’s Game 6 was, it was hard to ignore the collective sigh among Fringe fans on news that Game 7 would result in a one-week delay of the new Fringe episode. And I’m right there with you — that sucks. Luckily, before I even knew the outcome of the game, I’d planned a healthy serving of dish for you. READ FULL STORY
Tonight’s episode has the GG crew celebrating Yom Kippur in their own irrepressible style. Granted, the High Holiday was a couple weeks ago, but naturally the socialite crowd is fashionably late. Check out this EW first look teeing up tonight’s episode (the shofar joke is great): READ FULL STORY
Wow, this week’s Spoiler Room photo has so much pretty…

On to the scoop, featuring goods on the likes of Parenthood, Sons of Anarchy, Castle, Persons of Interest, Parks and Recreation, and a Titanic reference. (God, help us all.)
‘GOSSIP GIRL': EP TALKS MORE ON ‘SLEEP NO MORE,’
How much did you love this news? I was so excited I even circled Nov. 14 in my calendar and drew a creepy mask by the date to remind myself. But in case you need even more reasons to be excited about the impending romantic entanglements in this very special episode, executive producer Josh Safran told me that much “like masked balls in the past, there are multiple kisses — between multiple people” in the episode. “Like, quadratic couples, I’d say,” he teases. Could that have something to do with the “big kiss” everyone has been asking me about? Possibly… READ FULL STORY
'Gossip Girl' scoop: EP talks special 'Sleep No More' episode, 'surprising romantic twists' -- EXCLUSIVE
Gossip Girl is going to the theater — but not to just any show.
A very special Nov. 14 episode will find the gang attending Sleep No More, the provocative live show that contains elements of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. “It took months to get it together,” executive producer Josh Safran tells EW exclusively of the super-secret filming of the episode. “It was incredible to use their space, their actors… the whole thing. We like to do a masked ball every year, and this just dials it up so many notches. We were very much attuned to keep Sleep No More‘s secrets. At the same time, they were also really helpful in letting us utilize stuff that they maybe normally wouldn’t. We shot there for two days — several of the rooms, different floors.” READ FULL STORY
CBS Corporation and Warner Bros. Television Group have signed a four-year deal with Netflix that will allow its customers to instantly watch more than 700 hours of previous seasons of scripted series that currently air on The CW, including episodes of Ringer, Hart of Dixie, The Secret Circle, The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, 90210, Supernatural, Nikita, and One Tree Hill.
“This is a forward-thinking agreement … that opens a new door for The CW programming to expand its audience reach through the terrific Netflix service, and creates a brand-new window for CBS and Warner Bros. to be paid for the content we supply the network,” said Leslie Moonves, president and CEO of the CBS Corporation, in a statement. Happy Friday, friends!
I’ve had a long and exhausting week trolling the sets of your favorite shows in rainy (but completely lovely) Vancouver, and it’s paid off. Not only have I walked away from my travels with a new love for all things (and people) Canadian, but I come back to my motherland with plenty of TV bounty.
And before you dig in, remember to send me your questions about everything you’re watching. From the highly acclaimed (Good Wife?) to the pleasantly culty (Vampire Diaries?), I want to hear what’s on your brains. Send all queries to email@example.com and remember, as always, to follow me on Twitter (@EWSandraG) for the latest.
‘SUPERNATURAL’: SERA GAMBLE TALKS WHO WILL RETURN… AND WHO WON’T (FOR A WHILE) READ FULL STORY
Tease, tease, tease. The first trailer for The CW’s Gossip Girl set up the gang’s move to Los Angeles. Now this new promo, set to air this weekend, lures us with the Blair/Chuck/Prince of Monaco triangle and that pending wedding. (Plus, oh yes, there’s still that pregnancy test in the trash can… )
Gossip Girl returns Monday, Sept. 26 with an episode titled “Yes Than Zero.” here’s your new look. READ FULL STORY
A lot seems to have changed since we last saw our favorite group of once-upon-a-teens from the Upper East Side. Our trampy trio (Nate, S, and the Bass-hat) has gone west, Dan appears to be in a park (Since when can he step into the sun without sparkling?), Chuck has apparently started dabbling in stunt work, and Nate’s gone cougar-hunting (but it looks like it got to him first). Oh, I can’t wait for this. See it below. READ FULL STORY
'Vampire Diaries,' 'Bones,' 'How I Met Your Mother,' 'NCIS,': Find out what's next in the Spoiler Room
It’s beginning to look a lot like fall TV time! And I’m so excited, I could scream! But that would be really awkward for the person in the office next to me, I imagine.
Instead, I’ll sit here and wait for your questions to pop up in the Spoiler Room inbox (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Clearly my brain is fried. So I’ll leave you to read. Remember to send in your inquiries and follow me on Twitter for more awkward thoughts (and maybe some scoop): @EWSandraG.
‘VAMPIRE DIARIES': EP TEASES MATT’S PAINFUL ROAD AHEAD
We wouldn’t wish suffering on anyone… except for maybe The Vampire Diaries’ Matt Donovan. But that’s only because actor Zach Roerig guts us when he gets teary. TVD exec producer Julie Plec almost got our eyes wet describing how Matt will figure into the season 3 story line that has Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) seeing the ghosts of his dead exes — including Matt’s late sister Vicki (Kayla Ewell). READ FULL STORY
With his new show coming to ABC in the fall, Connor Paolo is unsure he’ll return to the world of Gossip Girl.
“I don’t know that I’ll be able to recur on Gossip Girl. That’s a question for the creators of both shows,” the actor told reporters today at the TCA panel for Revenge, a soap drama in which the actor plays a character named Declan Porter.
“I don’t know how I can do it. I’m here. I have to move out here now; I don’t know how’d that work,” he added after the panel. “I try never to look back…I hope my legacy will be being the one positive character in a slew of double-talkers.”
At the end of last season, Paolo’s Gossip character, Eric, was planning on going to college at Sarah Lawrence. For Paolo, the joy was getting to play a character who “couldn’t be more different” from the one he’s played on the CW show for four years.
“I don’t think they’d get along in a bar,” he said. “And you can’t ask for anything more fun for an actor.”
Revenge debuts in September.
