Exclusive: I've seen the 'Gossip Girl' finale and it's [major spoiler alert]!

gossip-girlImage Credit: Giovanni Rufino/The CWI guess it’s “really, really, good” isn’t much of a spoiler. But it’s accurate. The May 17 Gossip Girl sendoff features big payoffs, several OMG! twists, and a Georgina comeback. Enough, if you ask me, to more than make up for an uneven (but not nearly as bad as some people have said!) season. Most importantly, Chuck/Blair fans freaking out over a certain spoiler-laced European trailer that shows the couple nearing third base should simmer down and judge things after watching the entire hour — a sentiment echoed by exec producer Stephanie Savage. Question: All this vague “a crisis like no other” talk about the Grey’s Anatomy finale is killing me. And you don’t wanna be responsible for my death. Seattle Grace scoop, STAT. —Andy
Ausiello:
Would it qualify as putting you on life support if I got series creator Shonda Rhimes to tell you a bit about the two-hour season-ender? Let’s find out. “The theme of the first hour is sanctuary, which sort of uses the idea that the hospital is our characters’ safest place and our safest place as viewers,” she says. “[Then we use] the hour to slowly turn that on its head [so] that by the end, the hospital is definitely kind of the least safe place in the world.” Yikes! “The second hour,” she continues, “is about choices, and we get to watch our characters make big ones. Lexie chooses between Mark and Alex. Owen chooses between Teddy and Cristina. Bailey faces the hardest medical choice that a doctor has to make. And the other choice that’s being made is Callie and Arizona, and whether or not they’re going to be together or not. It IS going to come down to the baby thing.” You still with us, Andy? Hello? Bueller? Someone call 911! READ FULL STORY

Question: We’re due for a really good Huddy scene on House. —Juliana
Ausiello:
I think there’s one coming in the season finale. “The finale is sort of a very unusual circumstance in that it [deals with an emergency] outside of the hospital,” explains exec producer Katie Jacobs. “Every doctor in the area is basically called because it’s a genuine, immediate, tragic situation. Fans can expect to see a heroic House, and that’s not lost on Cuddy at all.”

Question: Please tell me that CSI is taking Catherine/Vartann further. Catherine hasn’t had a stable relationship on the show in 10 years and I really loved their scenes earlier this month. —Steph
Ausiello:
I hear we’ll find out exactly where things stand with those two in the season finale. Same goes for Wendy and Hodges.

Question: What else can you tell me about The Big Bang Theory‘s flashback episode on May 17? —Charlie
Ausiello:
We’ll find out that the roommate contract Sheldon made Leonard sign back in 2002 included a deal point that required them to watch a certain sci-fi show every Friday night. Guesses? Hit the comments! READ FULL STORY

ATV spoilers: Hot 'Gossip,' 'Chuck' twist, and more!

THIS JUST IN: The latest episode of Ausiello TV is chucking awesome, and here’s why: It contains both an explosive (and exclusive!) Chuck/Blair clip from next Monday’s Gossip Girl and a fairly substantial scoop about the two-hour Chuck season finale (new romance—what?!). Oh, and I also break some pretty major news of my own. After spending my entire career doing everything myself—that includes fetching my lunch and dusting my Smurf collection—I finally hired a pretend full-time assistant. But that’s not the big news. This is the big news: He’s superfamous! Press play after the jump, and then post your glowing reviews in the comments section! READ FULL STORY

Question: Will Grey’s Anatomy address Izzie’s whereabouts at all? Or are they just going to pretend she never existed now that Katherine Heigl isn’t returning? —Mickey
Ausiello:
They’re definitely not going to pretend she never existed. In fact, I’m told the Izzie issue will be addressed during May sweeps. For her part, Katherine Heigl thinks her Jan. 21 farewell — while not originally intended to be her last episode — oddly works as a bookend to Izzie’s story. “Even though there’s a part of me that would like to go back and do the quick Izzie farewell,” she says, “I also think that my last scene — where Meredith says to Izzie, ‘Don’t go, we’re your family,’ and Izzie’s response was, ‘No you’re not, you’re just a bunch of people I worked with, and I can find that anywhere’ — was kind of tragic and appropriate all at the same time. When I was playing the scene I was really trying to convey that, for Izzie, that was a lie that she had to tell herself to have the courage to move on.”

Question: I’m on my hands and knees begging for some True Blood news! —Nick
Ausiello:
The show is currently shooting episode 6, penned by executive producer Alan Ball. And guess what? It contains what Ball describes as an “intense” Sookie/Eric moment. “Let’s put it this way,” he adds, “I think people will have strong feelings about it.” In possibly related news, Ball told TV Guide that “Sookie is sexually drawn to [Eric] because she’s had his blood. But there is another reason he’s drawn to her, one that will be revealed this season.” READ FULL STORY

Question: I came home for spring break to find that my mother had sold my Smurf collection on eBay. The only thing that could make me feel better is little Glee scoop. —Blake
Ausiello:
My partner tried to do the same thing with my collection. He’s now missing something very near and dear to him. Coincidence? I think not. Onto the Glee scoop, there’s an episode coming up in which Puck gets paired up with someone new — resulting in a musical tug-of-war for his attention. Guesses? Hit the comments!

Question: Please help out a worried Gleek. Your frenemy put out a spoiler that there is a seriously sad twist ahead for Puck on Glee. Can you spill anything? —Erin
Ausiello:
Only that it doesn’t involve him losing a limb or a relative. “It’s Glee tragic,” clarifies executive producer Brad Falchuk. “He’s not going to lose an arm. No family member will pass away. He will get some news that is very surprising that will have a very big effect on his life.” READ FULL STORY

Question: Will anything ever happen between Will and Alicia on The Good Wife? —Stef
Ausiello:
Maybe. Eventually. Perhaps. Exec producer Robert King explains: “[They have] one of the most complicated relationships… because it really is a friendship that doesn’t want to lose its friendship by going to the next step. There’s an episode [coming up in April] that’s all about not knowing what a jury is thinking and it’s a metaphor for how Alicia and Will can’t get into each other’s heads. During this trial, they have to make moves, guessing where the jury is headed. Sometimes we see that they’re just completely wrong.”

Question: I could probably be persuaded to send you a case of your favorite flavor of Snapple if you’ll give me some Good Wife scoop. —Brooke
Ausiello:
I could probably be persuaded to accept those terms. The rivalry between Alicia and Cary will come to a head in May. According to exec producer Robert King, the season will feature two big climaxes — one of which we’ve already witnessed. “The first was ‘Hi,’ the episode where Peter gets out,” he explains. “[The second] will play into [the rivalry].” READ FULL STORY

Question: In honor of Neil Patrick Harris being cast in the Smurfs movie, you should give us some big scoop. It’s what the Smurfs would want. —Riina
Ausiello:

'Gossip Girl' First Look: Billy Baldwin as Serena's dad!

William Baldwin’s upcoming Gossip Girl stint as Serena and Eric’s MIA dad (which kicks off April 26) forced him to come face-to-face with an awful truth: “The hardest thing to take in was that I was playing Blake Lively’s father,” sighs the 46-year-old actor of his 22-year-old co-star. “As scary as it is to say, I AM old enough to be her father. But it’s still tough to take.

“I’m [supposed to be] with the girl,” he continues with a laugh, “not the father of the girl.”

Ironically, it’s the actor’s own fault he got cast in the part. READ FULL STORY

Question: What can you tell me about Libby’s Lost return? —Joe
Ausiello:
I can’t tell you very much. Cynthia Watros, however, describes her onscreen reunion with Jorge Garcia as “so sweet and honest. And I think, hopefully, when people see our scenes that they’ll get that feeling, too. [Libby and Hurley] are so incredibly real with each other. I was really grateful that I got to play those scenes and Libby got to sort of express herself in ways that she hasn’t been able to.” READ FULL STORY
