Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'House,' 'CSI,' 'Modern Family,' 'NCIS,' 'Chuck,' and more!

Question: We’re due for a really good Huddy scene on House. —Juliana
Ausiello:
I think there’s one coming in the season finale. “The finale is sort of a very unusual circumstance in that it [deals with an emergency] outside of the hospital,” explains exec producer Katie Jacobs. “Every doctor in the area is basically called because it’s a genuine, immediate, tragic situation. Fans can expect to see a heroic House, and that’s not lost on Cuddy at all.”

Question: Please tell me that CSI is taking Catherine/Vartann further. Catherine hasn’t had a stable relationship on the show in 10 years and I really loved their scenes earlier this month. —Steph
Ausiello:
I hear we’ll find out exactly where things stand with those two in the season finale. Same goes for Wendy and Hodges.

Question: What else can you tell me about The Big Bang Theory‘s flashback episode on May 17? —Charlie
Ausiello:
We’ll find out that the roommate contract Sheldon made Leonard sign back in 2002 included a deal point that required them to watch a certain sci-fi show every Friday night. Guesses? Hit the comments! READ FULL STORY »

Exclusive: Is 'House' falling for Chase and Thirteen?

Tags: , , News, Scoop

thirteen-chaseImage Credit: Mike Yarish/FoxWill it be Chateen or Thirace? I ask because, judging by my AA mailbag, there’s growing support for a Chase-Thirteen romance on House. Makes total sense on paper: They’re both pretty, they spend long hours together at work, they’re each coming off difficult breakups, and….did I mention they’re both really pretty? READ FULL STORY »

Question: Any more clues on who dies on Private Practice? —Katie
Ausiello:
Well, Addison was already a long shot, but considering what happens to her in the finale, I can’t imagine Shonda Rhimes would be so cruel as to kill her. [MAJOR SPOILER ALERT] “You’ve watched her get really beat up all season,” says the boss lady, so “I wanted to sort of see her have a chance at really being happy…to finally sort of get the guy and find some peace.” (No word if the guy she gets is named Pete or Sam.)

Question: Do you know anything about House‘s season finale? —Eva
Ausiello:
I know it will raise some big questions about a certain character’s future on the show.

Question: Please give me some The Good Wife scoop! —Hayley
Ausiello:
Look for Alicia to make a pact with the devil — a.k.a. Eli — in order to save her job in the May 11 episode. READ FULL STORY »

Question: After the “Happily Ever After” episode of Lost, I no longer believe that Sawyer and Kate will be happening. If they were, they would have had an epiphany in the elevator scene in sideways world from the “LA X” episode. But they didn’t. Care to comment? —Caroline
Ausiello:
I have no solid information to back up your theory, but I’ll admit it’s a good one. Speaking of destiny and fate and all that jazz, an unlikely romance will take shape in early May. Normally I’d tell you to start speculating in the comments section but there’s really no point. You’ll never guess this one. Trust me.

Question: Ugly Betty is ending in a week — please spoil us one last time before the finale! —Miagkaia
Ausiello:
I ran into executive producer Sheila Lawrence at the show’s wrap party last week and here’s what she had to say about next Wednesday’s swan song: “Every character ends up in a good place — this is Ugly Betty after all,” she teased. “Amanda has a question answered that’s been looming since Season 2, Justin has a dream come true, and Wilhelmina quite possibly has the happiest ending of all.”

Question: Aus, I gave up EW.com for Lent. Have I missed anything huge? Or better, do you have anything to welcome me back with? —Laura
Ausiello:
Hugh Laurie directs Monday’s House and, to mark the occasion, he’s giving Ask Ausiello readers this exclusive preview: “A baby goes missing from the maternity ward — you know how babies are low-jacked in the hospital these days — so the hospital is locked down until the baby is found. It’s a rather more elegant way of doing the ‘stuck elevator’ plot line.” Oh, wait, you asked for big news. Um… Dean [spoiler] [spoiler] in Supernatural‘s 100th episode next Thursday! Question: Will Grey’s Anatomy address Izzie’s whereabouts at all? Or are they just going to pretend she never existed now that Katherine Heigl isn’t returning? —Mickey
Ausiello:
They’re definitely not going to pretend she never existed. In fact, I’m told the Izzie issue will be addressed during May sweeps. For her part, Katherine Heigl thinks her Jan. 21 farewell — while not originally intended to be her last episode — oddly works as a bookend to Izzie’s story. “Even though there’s a part of me that would like to go back and do the quick Izzie farewell,” she says, “I also think that my last scene — where Meredith says to Izzie, ‘Don’t go, we’re your family,’ and Izzie’s response was, ‘No you’re not, you’re just a bunch of people I worked with, and I can find that anywhere’ — was kind of tragic and appropriate all at the same time. When I was playing the scene I was really trying to convey that, for Izzie, that was a lie that she had to tell herself to have the courage to move on.”

Question: I’m on my hands and knees begging for some True Blood news! —Nick
Ausiello:
The show is currently shooting episode 6, penned by executive producer Alan Ball. And guess what? It contains what Ball describes as an “intense” Sookie/Eric moment. “Let’s put it this way,” he adds, “I think people will have strong feelings about it.” In possibly related news, Ball told TV Guide that “Sookie is sexually drawn to [Eric] because she’s had his blood. But there is another reason he’s drawn to her, one that will be revealed this season.” READ FULL STORY »

Question: I came home for spring break to find that my mother had sold my Smurf collection on eBay. The only thing that could make me feel better is little Glee scoop. —Blake
Ausiello:
My partner tried to do the same thing with my collection. He’s now missing something very near and dear to him. Coincidence? I think not. Onto the Glee scoop, there’s an episode coming up in which Puck gets paired up with someone new — resulting in a musical tug-of-war for his attention. Guesses? Hit the comments!

Question: Please help out a worried Gleek. Your frenemy put out a spoiler that there is a seriously sad twist ahead for Puck on Glee. Can you spill anything? —Erin
Ausiello:
Only that it doesn’t involve him losing a limb or a relative. “It’s Glee tragic,” clarifies executive producer Brad Falchuk. “He’s not going to lose an arm. No family member will pass away. He will get some news that is very surprising that will have a very big effect on his life.” READ FULL STORY »

'House' video: Robert Sean Leonard unplugged!

Did you hear? Those tricksters at Fox are trying to bait us into watching House reruns on Friday night by incorporating exclusive new content into the episodes. Sneaky bastards. To their credit, the bonus material doesn’t suck. In fact, the inaugural segment — which debuted last Friday and featured the always-entertaining Robert Sean Leonard — is actually a lot of fun. Unfortunately, due to a technical glitch the piece only ran on the West Coast. Fortunately, I convinced Fox to let me embed the clip after the jump so the rest of the country could see what they missed. Yes, I am awesome. READ FULL STORY »

Ausiello:
You shouldn’t have. No. Really. You shouldn’t have. But since you did, I can exclusively confirm that Rena Sofer’s feisty legal eagle — who returns in Tuesday’s episode — will be back for multiple episodes in May and “set in motion a chain of events that forces Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to make a life-changing decision,” reveals exec producer Shane Brennan. And not just any life-changing decision, either. One, he says “that will impact every member of his team.”

Question: I’ll send you some birthday cake if you give me some Supernatural scoop about the 100th episode. —Annie
Ausiello:
In the milestone episode, airing April 15, “a very important character will sacrifice themselves in a suicide mission,” reveals exec producer Sera Gamble. “We definitely kept in mind that this was [an important] episode. We wanted to deliver something with real scope; it’s about the Archangel Michael. Crises will come to a head for Dean and Castiel. And you’ll see characters you never thought you’d see again.” Here’s the pan I want you to use for my cake. READ FULL STORY »

Exclusive: First Look: Wilson's first ex-wife is in the 'House'

Tags: ,

Here’s your first look at Cynthia Watros in action as Wilson’s first ex-wife and new girlfriend, Sam Carr, on House. The reunion marks Wilson’s first serious romance since the tragic death of Amber two years ago. But whether he’s taking a step back or forward remains to be seen. “There can be great comfort in the past,” says Robert Sean Leonard. “He wants his blankie. And there’s the extra benefit of familiarity and, in a way, a lack of drama.” Actually, thanks to House, the last thing Watros’ quirky, independent character (who debuts April 19) will be bringing with her is a lack of drama. Trust me.

House may soon be Cynthia Watros’ permanent home.

The once-and-future Lost star doesn’t kick off her multi-episode arc as Wilson’s first ex-wife and new girlfriend until April 19, but series creator David Shore says he’s already toying with the idea of keeping her around long-term. “We’re talking about that,” he tells me. “It depends what’s going to give us the most bang for our buck dramatically.” READ FULL STORY »
