'Intelligence': Josh Holloway channels Vitruvian Man in new (shirtless!) poster -- EXCLUSIVE

Josh Holloway can do it all on CBS’ upcoming drama Intelligence, so it makes sense that this exclusive poster for the series channels Leonardo da Vinci’s famed Vitruvian Man drawing.

On the show, premiering in January, Holloway plays a high-tech intelligence operative named Gabriel who has been enhanced with a super-computer microchip in his noggin, making him the first human to ever be connected into the global information grid. (In other words, he can do with his brain what most cyber nerds need a computer for.)

Lost alum Holloway stars alongside Marg Helgenberger, who plays the director of the government cyber-security agency to which Gabriel reports, and Once Upon a Time‘s Meghan Ory, whose character is tasked with making sure no harm comes to Gabriel, which is not easy because he’s a bit of a cowboy.

The show premieres Jan. 7 at 9 p.m. following NCIS before moving to its regular spot on Mondays at 10 p.m. on Jan. 13.

New 'Intelligence' promo finds super-human Josh Holloway on the run

intelligence-josh-holloway.jpg

CBS has just released a new  promo for their upcoming action thriller show Intelligence, starring Lost’s Josh Holloway, Meghan Ory (Once Upon A Time), and Marg Helgenberger (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation).

The action packed promo introduces Gabriel (Holloway), a high-tech intelligence operative, and his ability to access the global information grid directly from his mind thanks to an implanted super-computer microchip in his brain. The implant also means Gabriel can hack into any data center and access key intel in the fight to protect the United States from its enemies.

With enemies of the U.S. after his newfound ability, Gabriel must work with Secret Service agent, and his newly appointed personal body guard, Riley Neal (Ory) to stay safe and out of enemy hands.  As the promo shows though, Gabriel’s spontaneous and reckless behavior means Agent Neal has definitely got her work cut out for her.

On CSI, Marg Helgenberger had a hand in catching some pretty bad people, but on the upcoming CBS drama Intelligence, she’s not doing so much tracking down as she is “following around a charming devil with a chip in his brain.”

Not a bad gig, if you ask us.

For more on Helgenberger’s new series, which stars Lost alum Josh Holloway (as the aforementioned charming devil), check out an exclusive look at a promo that debuts tonight during CSI‘s 300th episode, in which Helgenberger makes a guest appearance.

'Intelligence' at Comic-Con: Josh Holloway shows us how he thinks

EW’s Darren Franich sat down with the cast of Intelligence at Comic-Con to discuss the upcoming series.

“As a physical thing filming, that’s great,” Josh Holloway says of the difficulty of playing a man with a chip in his brain that gives him infinite access to information around the globe.

First look: Josh Holloway in new CBS drama

He’s a cop with a computer chip in his brain that helps him solve crimes.

We’d be skeptical, but CBS’ new crime drama Intelligence stars Lost favorite Josh Holloway, which gives us faith this premise could really work. The concept is also, in the era of Google Glass, not too much of a stretch (especially compared to crime drama ideas like, for instance, a mysterious machine that predicts crimes by spitting out Social Security numbers). Earlier today, CBS announced that we’ll have to wait until midseason for Intelligence will air on Mondays at 10 p.m. (full schedule here). READ FULL STORY

'Lost' alum Josh Holloway cast in CBS drama pilot 'Intelligence'

From the island to U.S. intelligence — Lost alum Josh Holloway has scored the lead role in CBS’ drama pilot Intelligence, EW has confirmed.

Based on unpublished book Dissident by John Dixon, the show is about a U.S. intelligence unit whose top agent, Gabriel Black (Holloway), has some very special abilities — a microchip that has been implanted into his head allows him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum. The pilot script comes from Michael Seitzman (North Country) and will be directed by David Semel (No Ordinary Family).

Since wrapping up Lost in 2010, Holloway’s projects have included a guest appearance on Community and a role in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Holloway was among the nine actors EW’s Lynette Rice listed as the most-wanted starts for new fall TV. Read the full list here.
