Friends, juiceheads, countrymen: Lend me your ears. Did you, like me, feel like the back half of Jersey Shore‘s third season felt overly safe, as if all the newly-minted millionaires who comprise the show’s cast were playing it safe and avoiding conflict in order to burnish their brands? Well, then the trailer for the show’s upcoming fourth season has a message for you: Everything and everyone is descending into lawless chaos and emotional cataclysm. Deena wants to smush Pauly, Sitch want to smush Shnookums, Shnookums continues her neverending battle with the police, and Uncle Situation screams at Ronnie while doing his best Nicolas Cage impression. Madness! Madness! Check out the video: READ FULL STORY »

Angelina’s back! The former Jersey Shore star jumped networks to appear on TLC’s spinoff, NY Ink. Angelina Pivarnick stopped by the tattoo shop to get some Jersey Shore-themed ink, and tattoo artist Ami James had some choice words — “douche bag” stands out — for the former Shore houseguest as Pivarnick discussed her time on the show. “I actually thought it would be the best experience of my life,” Pivarnick told James. “It didn’t really work out for me.” READ FULL STORY »

Must see. With MTV’s Jersey Shore set to invade Italy this summer (Aug. 4, to be exact), the network is launching four new on-air promos that capture the Jersey meets Europe renaissance. Briefly glimpsed are these examples of high art meets GTL culture, with the Shore crew gleefully defacing the European masters. The return of summer’s biggest cable series, Jersey Shore, finally has a premiere date.

Jersey Shore‘s The Situation (real name Mike Sorrentino) said in a statement released today that he is “saddened” by the online video tirades released by his estranged father, Frank Sorrentino, earlier this week. In a series of bizarre videos, first seen on TMZ, the elder Sorrentino claims, among other things, that his son “abandoned” his family after finding Jersey Shore fame. In a second video, Frank Sorrentino claims the TV personality was fired from one of his jobs for inappropriate sexual conduct.
The Situation released the following statement regarding the claims: READ FULL STORY »
'Jersey Shore': Filming in Florence delayed due to Italian president's visit
MTV has confirmed that production of Jersey Shore‘s fourth season, set to shoot in Florence, Italy, has been postponed, partly due to a visit from the country’s president, Giorgio Napolitano. The network said in a statement, “Production on Jersey Shore will begin this week, following the Italian presidential visit to Florence. In the ongoing spirit of cooperation, we’re waiting until his official visit concludes to start filming.” EW has learned that the presidential visit would have hindered production in terms of which locations the cast would be able to visit, hence the brief delay.

Blimey! It's MTV's British version of 'Jersey Shore' trailer

This is so weird. It’s like falling through a wormhole and watching some bizarro alternate universe version of Jersey Shore. Below are the opening credits for Geordie Shore, which comes to us from MTV’s UK network. A few of the characters look like they’re trying to fist pump and failing. They even have a version of Snooki, only thinner and with a smaller poof. And is it just me, or is this the first time the Brits cast slightly hotter people than us in anything? READ FULL STORY »

The good news for the Jersey Shore cast: They’re getting a huge raise.
The other good news: They get to spend it shooting next season in Italy.
And the bad news is … actually, for the Shore cast, there is no bad news. Didn’t you read the above? The cast is being paid a massive amount of money to get drunk and screw around in Italy. For the Shore stars, there is no downside.
As has been reported, the eight-member cast has just finished their salary negotiations. Multiple sources close to the matter tell EW the deal has members of the “core group” now pulling down at least $100,000 per episode, especially once you factor in their bonus structure. Each season is usually 13 episodes. (MTV had no comment.) READ FULL STORY »
