Kim Kardashian talks top-secret 'Vogue' cover on 'Late Night With Seth Meyers': Just blame Kanye -- VIDEO

When Kim Kardashian appears on Tuesday night’s Late Night With Seth Meyers, she reveals a new trick for keeping secrets from her tight-knit family: Just blame Kanye.

Case in point, Kim and fiancé Kanye West had to keep their much-buzzed-about Vogue cover under wraps, even from her relatives/co-stars. “They were a little suspicious, but I just said Kanye was shooting something at my mom’s house and it was really private, and just kinda blamed it on him,” Kardashian said of the technique.

Seth Meyers' first week of 'Late Night' guests to include Kanye West, VP Joe Biden, Amy Poehler

NBC has announced the guest roster for the first week of Late Night With Seth Meyers, and it will make Leslie Knope very happy.

Amy Poehler, who was previously announced as the show’s first guest for the Feb. 24 debut, also will be joined on the couch that night by Joe Biden. (Poehler’s Knope, who has a severe crush on the Vice President of the United States, met him in a season 5 episode of Parks and Recreation.) Kanye West is slated to appear on the show the following night, and Lena Dunham, Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart are among the other celebrities booked later that week.

On Monday, Meyers tweeted the news that his fellow Saturday Night Live alum Fred Armisen will lead the house band.

'Late Night With Seth Meyers': Fred Armisen to 'curate and lead' house band

Seth Meyers has just tweeted the first photo of his upcoming talk show’s 8G Band, a.k.a. the Roots to his Jimmy Fallon. Spy any familiar faces?

That’s right — Meyers’ old SNL pal Fred Armisen, an accomplished musician who began his showbiz career as a drummer for a punk group (and, uh, the Blue Man Group), will serve as the frontman for Meyers’ Late Night band. Meyers says Armisen will both “curate and lead” 8G, even when the quirky comedian is busy with his own IFC comedy series, Portlandia:

Seth Meyers calls impending 'SNL' exit 'heartbreaking,' admits to 'Late Night' nerves

We knew it was coming — but Seth Meyers has finally set an end date for SNL.

Today at the Television Critics Association press tour, where Meyers held a panel to talk about his new Late Night gig, Meyers revealed that Feb. 1 will his last time behind the Weekend Update desk, as he prepares for his new show’s Feb. 24 premiere. “It’s heartbreaking, but I’m really happy I came back and did this first half of the year,” Meyers told reporters after the panel. “There was talks when this came up — because I found out before my last show last year — and I knew I wanted to come back, and I’m really glad I did. The nice thing about SNL is that you’re busy that you don’t have much time to reminisce.”

Meanwhile, plans for the body of his new Late Night show continue to progress. Meyers said their theme song was just sent out to a few composers this week, and they are in the process of finding a band. He added that the writers, who include former head Weekend Update writer Alex Bays, are hoping to develop a slate of characters — not unlike Stefon and Taran Killiam’s 18th century reporter, Jebediah Atkinson –  “who belong on our show as opposed to SNL.” READ FULL STORY

'Late Night with Seth Meyers' promo: Guess who's not ready for airtime? VIDEO

SETH-MEYERS

@LateNight Seth hasn’t tweeted once yet. latenightseth.tumblr.com has been reserved, but bears no posts. Yet there is evidence online that Seth Meyers will, in fact, take over Late Night this February — thanks to a brand-new YouTube account, which recently posted its very first video: a bouncy promo for Meyers’ new show.

Turns out those empty social media accounts are thematically appropriate: The gist of Meyers’ first promo is that his show really isn’t ready for air. (That seems about right; Meyers said in the most recent issue of Time that he still doesn’t know if he’s going to feature a band or a DJ.) The clip shows Meyers leaving the set of SNL, then offering to take viewers on a tour of his new digs, which happen to be just “30 feet” away from his old studio. Once he arrives, though, Meyers finds a room filled with equipment — nowhere near in shape for a late night broadcast. It’s funny ’cause it’s true!
