'Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce': 'House' actress Lisa Edelstein to star in Bravo's first scripted series

Bravo Media’s first original scripted series, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, will star House‘s Lisa Edelstein as a 40-something self-help book author who hides the fact that she’s separated from her husband. Based on the best-selling book series Girlfriends’ Guide by Vicki Iovine, the scripted series aims to offer a fresh take on women tackling life after divorce with the help of their friends.

Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce will follow the life of Abby (Edelstein), who suddenly finds herself taking advice from her divorced friends rather than her married ones. The result is a series of unexpected life-changes that occur as Abby tries to navigate her life as a single woman in Los Angeles. READ FULL STORY

'Castle': Lisa Edelstein in for multi-episode arc

Somebody’s trading up.

Ex-House inhabitant Lisa Edelstein is moving on to bigger and better digs — specifically, ABC’s Castle. EW has confirmed that Edelstein has booked a multi-episode arc on the crime drama’s sixth season. TVLine first reported the news.

Edelstein — who last appeared over the past TV season on ScandalHouse of Lies, and Elementary — will play hard-core federal investigator Rachel McCord. It’s safe to say that the new character will have ties to Beckett (Stana Katic), who was planning to move to D.C. in May’s finale — until Castle (Nathan Fillion) unexpectedly proposed.

Exclusive 'House' video: Lisa E on the challenges facing Huddy and getting naked in front of Hugh

ausiello-edelsteinWith an under-the-weather Hugh Laurie MIA at Fox’s press tour party last night, his House leading lady, Lisa Edelstein, was forced to serve as the sole spokesperson for Huddy. No surprise, the Emmy-snubbed actress was more than up to the task. READ FULL STORY

Hugh Laurie's message to Huddy fans: 'Buckle up!'

huddy-kissImage Credit: Kevin Perkins/Gaz Shirley/PacificCoastNews.comHard as it is to imagine, next season on House, Doc Crankypants may be—gasp!—happy. At least happy-ish. In fact, in the premiere, we’ll see him smiling, laughing, and canoodling on the beach with at-long-last ladylove Cuddy. Clearly this can mean only one thing: The relationship is doomed, right? “I don’t think [so], necessarily,” Hugh Laurie tells me. “But let’s face it, neither of these characters has a clean license.

“‘Buckle up,’” he adds, “would be my advice.” READ FULL STORY

Question: This House fan thanks you for posting that awesome Huddy picture! This House fan is also going to be greedy and ask you what else you know about the season premiere? —Julia
Ausiello:
A fellow Trojan tipped me off that Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein were on the USC campus Tuesday night shooting “some Huddy-ness.” Added the anonymous bystander: “They were kissing, hugging, and hand-holding. It was a fangirl’s dream come true. She had on the same outfit as in the beach pictures.” Speaking of those cutesy beach photos, series creator David Shore tells me that all may not be as it seems. “What the image depicts is rather different from what you’re going to experience when you watch the episode,” he reveals. “They’re [at the beach], but it’s not Beach Blanket Bingo.”

Question: I heard a rumor that David Anders will be a regular next season on The Vampire Diaries. Please tell me that it’s true! —Addison
Ausiello:
I would if I could, but I can’t. But here’s something I can confirm: Anders will definitely be in the season premiere. READ FULL STORY

Here are 10 reasons to vote for me for PETA's Sexiest Vegetarian!

edelstein-ausielloHouse‘s Lisa Edelstein and I have something in common besides our love of all things Huddy: We’ve both been nominated for Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2010! Even better, since there are separate categories for men and women, L.E. and I won’t be forced to go toe-to-tofu — PETA’s pun, not mine. In other words, you can vote for both of us. Or if you’re not a House fan, you can vote for me and fellow nominee Kristen Bell. The key point I’m trying to get across here is you really need to vote for me. And here’s why: READ FULL STORY
