Michelle Obama to guest star on 'Nashville'

Michelle Obama’s about to be all over our TV screens: The First Lady is making a cameo on NBC’s Parks and Recreation for its April 24 finale and now will be guest starring in an upcoming episode of ABC’s Nashville.

In the Nashville episode, Rayna (Connie Britton) turns to her famous friends — including other guest star Kellie Pickler — to help throw a charity concert at Fort Campbell.

The episode airs May 7 at 10 p.m. ET on  ABC.

Jimmy Fallon's first 'Tonight Show' guests include Justin Timberlake, Michelle Obama

It’s no secret that U2 will be the first musical guest to take the stage when The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon premieres Feb. 17, but now they have some company. Viewers who tune in during Fallon’s first week can expect to see performances by Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, and more. Additionally, Fallon will feature a stacked lineup of non-musical guests, including Jerry Seinfeld and first lady Michelle Obama.

Michelle Obama to appear on 'Jimmy Fallon'

First Lady Michelle Obama will be a guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this Friday, EW has confirmed.

The First Lady is dropping by to celebrate the third anniversary of her Let’s Move! initiative, although talk about her recent hairstyle change (bangs!) also seems likely. The other guest for Friday’s episode is Scarlett Johansson, who coincidentally was an active President Obama supporter during the recent election.

While this will be the first time Obama has sat down with Fallon, it won’t be her first appearance on the program. Last February, she was part of a pre-taped sketch where Fallon came to the White House and challenged the First Lady to a push-up contest and a potato sack race. Perhaps Friday’s show will feature a rematch.

Obamas to make first joint appearance on 'The View'

President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, will make their first joint appearance on the daytime show The View next week.

The show says the Democratic president and first lady will tape an episode Monday to air Tuesday. Obama’s appearance in July 2010 was the show’s most-watched episode ever.

GOP challenger Mitt Romney might not be far behind. Romney said in private remarks to donors made public this week that going on The View is high risk because of the sharp-tongued female hosts, only one of whom is a conservative.

That conservative, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, said Wednesday that she had reached out to Romney, and the campaign said he’d love to come on the show in October.

CBS’ 60 Minutes also announced both candidates will appear Sunday in separate interviews.

Ratings: Michelle Obama lifts ratings, gives MSNBC a boost

NBC and MSNBC were the most watched networks during last night’s Democratic National Convention, which was highlighted by a well-received speech from First Lady Michelle Obama. According to Nielsen Media Research, 5.0 million watched on NBC during the 10 o’clock hour while another 4.1 million tuned in to MSNBC’s coverage.

While Fox News dominated the Republican National Convention last week, surpassing the major networks each night, last night was a big win for MSNBC, which saw its viewership nearly double from opening night of the 2008 DNC. In what might be considered a surprise, the total audience for all six major news organizations’ coverage held steady from four years ago — up a tick, actually, from 21.7 million to 21.9 million — and slightly topped Night 1 of the Republican’s convention in Tampa.

Michelle Obama to make return visit to 'Late Show with David Letterman'

First Lady Michelle Obama is set for another chat with David Letterman.

Her next appearance on Late Show with David Letterman will air on Wednesday, Aug. 29, right in the middle of the Republican National Convention, which runs Aug. 27-30 in Tampa, Fla.

As for where the interview falls in Obama’s schedule, she will be in the midst of her back-to-school media tour “where she will discuss helping parents get their children ready to return to the classroom as well as important changes to school lunch programs nationwide to provide healthier, more nutritious food,” according to a CBS press release.

Next week’s show will be Obama’s third visit to the Late Show. She took on the program’s Top 10 duties in June when she presented the “Top Ten Fun Facts about Gardening,” and in March, she talked to Letterman about her Joining Forces initiative and which stores are worth “sneaking out” of the White House for (Target, of course! And PetCo too).

The episode will air at Aug. 29 at 11:35p.m. on CBS.

President Obama will be on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' April 24

Even though Jimmy Fallon was embarrassingly bested by President Barack Obama’s wife Michelle during a fitness contest back in February, he’s not holding any grudges against the First Family. Fallon tweeted earlier this morning, “The President of the United States!?!?! @BarackObama see you Tuesday!!! #obamaonfallon.” No word on whether he’ll address Ted Nugent’s recent run-in with the Secret Service, but you can imagine how he might react by checking out the Obama expressions clips in Late Night‘s archive of Obama videos.

Michelle Obama to appear on 'Letterman'

Michelle Obama is bringing her chic style and master push-up skills to late night next Monday. FLOTUS is set to appear on Late Show With David Letterman on March 19. She will touch on her plans to mark the one-year anniversary of the Joining Forces initiative. Spearheaded by the first lady and Vice President Joseph Biden, the program stresses the struggle of military families and encourages Americans to help out.

This is Obama’s first time on the Late Show but it isn’t her first foray in the late night television. She dropped by The Tonight Show With Jay Leno to dish about the President’s favorite cake (red velvet) and Malia’s first cell phone. She also took on Jimmy Fallon in a fitness competition for the Let’s Move! initiative on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon back in February.
