Christmas is about traditions, and TBS once again has scheduled 24 hours of A Christmas Story (starting at 8 p.m. on Dec. 24)* from Ralphie and Randy to Scut Farkus and those turkey-gobbling Bumpus mutts. Joining them on the holiday vigil, TLC offers up a four-hour block of Christmas lights spectaculars from 4-8 p.m., and a certain lady network wraps up their annual multiweek affair known as Falalala Lifetime. For everyone else who has had enough of the holiday spirit, there are plenty of alternatives. Read on for a schedule of Christmas Eve marathons. READ FULL STORY

Jimmy Palmer has troubled headed his way. And his name is Larry Miller.
As EW first told you, the comedian will guest in tonight’s episode as Palmer’s (Brian Dietzen) father-in-law-to-be, and when we caught up with the pair to chat about the episode in a joint interview, the pair previewed an episode that’s Meet the Parents… with more murder.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: So what can you tell me about the episode?
BRIAN DIETZEN: Jimmy Palmer, as everybody knows, is now engaged, and he’s going to be having a wedding by the end of the year, and in this episode, his wife-to-be’s father — his future father-in-law — is stopping by to see where Jimmy works and kind of vet him a little more before they actually get to the aisle. We’re really fortunate to have Larry Miller come in. He’s been just a joy to work with and play with and adding a heck of a lot of humor to what could be a really dour character and making it live and breath. And the two of us have been having a hell of a good time this whole week. READ FULL STORY
'The Mentalist,' 'Terra Nova,' 'How I Met Your Mother,' 'NCIS': Find out what's next in the Spoiler Room
As we all prepare to celebrate the annual celebration of Saturnalia, it is with great excitement that I present to you this week’s column! Why am I so excited? Because I get a week of vacation starting… Oh, crap! Ten hours ago!
We better get a move on. But while I’m away, remember to keep sending in your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org and sending em via Twitter. (@EWSandraG) See y’all soon!
‘THE MENTALIST’: RED JOHN MYSTERY WILL ‘RAMP UP’
The Red John story line has taken so many twists and turns since last season’s epic finale that that story line has largely taken a backseat to other fun capers. But that won’t be the case all season. In fact, Daniel Cerone, executive producer and writer of next week’s “Fugue in Red,” tells me this week’s episode, which will find Jane reverting to his con-man ways after an accident, will “reframe who Red John is in the life of our character” and ultimately set the stage for a second half of the season that will see more action from this fan-favorite story line. Spidey will cast his net across millions of TV screens during Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, but that’s not where tomorrow’s televisual treats end. Whether you’re a certified dude, a lady with a taste for the finer things, a procedural junkie, a spy fan, or someone who understands “There’s always money in the banana stand,” we present a list of the all that’s worth watching this Turkey Day. Man, we are digging this ongoing trend on NCIS to meet the parents (and grandparents, and occasional sibling).
So who’s the latest actor to play a father figure on the popular CBS show? READ FULL STORY
'Fringe,' 'The Walking Dead,' 'Suburgatory,' 'Once Upon a Time': Find out what's next in the Spoiler Room
Just kidding. Last night was actually the most baseball I’ve watched since the last time I watched a repeat of A League of Their Own on TBS, so don’t take that declaration too seriously. I don’t care who wins — either way, we don’t get Fringe tonight. Pfft.
That said, I have some scoop today that will hopefully satisfy your need for one more week — or make the delay even more painful. I can’t decide which is more truthful, but let’s try to see the sunny side of things.
In other news, enjoy spoils and teases from a ton of other shows below! If you don’t see a show you like, send me an e-mail with your request: email@example.com. (I read and appreciate them all!) Twitter also works: @EWSandraG. I also try to comb comments, but I sometimes miss those. To make sure they reach my eyes, use the two previously mentioned methods. Don’t be shy!
See y’all next week!
‘FRINGE’: WHAT YOU WON’T SEE TONIGHT
As great as last night’s Game 6 was, it was hard to ignore the collective sigh among Fringe fans on news that Game 7 would result in a one-week delay of the new Fringe episode. And I’m right there with you — that sucks. Luckily, before I even knew the outcome of the game, I’d planned a healthy serving of dish for you. READ FULL STORY
Wow, this week’s Spoiler Room photo has so much pretty…

There’s a lot for you to eat up here, so I’ll make this brief. Thanks for all your questions! Keep it up! Tell me what you’re loving, what you’re hating, what you ate for breakfast (kidding!…or…) and what you’re dying to know! E-mail all your fabulous ponderings to firstname.lastname@example.org or find me on Twitter: @EWSandraG.
On to the scoop, featuring goods on the likes of Parenthood, Sons of Anarchy, Castle, Persons of Interest, Parks and Recreation, and a Titanic reference. (God, help us all.)
‘GOSSIP GIRL’: EP TALKS MORE ON ‘SLEEP NO MORE,’
How much did you love this news? I was so excited I even circled Nov. 14 in my calendar and drew a creepy mask by the date to remind myself. But in case you need even more reasons to be excited about the impending romantic entanglements in this very special episode, executive producer Josh Safran told me that much “like masked balls in the past, there are multiple kisses — between multiple people” in the episode. “Like, quadratic couples, I’d say,” he teases. Could that have something to do with the “big kiss” everyone has been asking me about? Possibly… READ FULL STORY
Gibbs and FBI Agent Tobias Fornell won’t know what hit ‘em in the Nov. 1 episode of NCIS, when a case brings their ex-wife Diane Sterling (Melinda McGraw) to their doorstep, and EW has your exclusive first look at the trio’s encounter. READ FULL STORY
An alum of Charlie’s Angels will show up on TV this fall but don’t go looking for her on ABC’s reboot of the successful franchise.
NCIS snagged the celestial being, instead!
EW has learned exclusively that Cheryl Ladd — best known for playing Kris Munroe from ’77 to ’81 on Angels — will guest star as Ducky’s (David McCallum) love interest on the CBS drama that returns for its ninth season on Sept. 20. Her cameo will occur in late October. READ FULL STORY
It’s a Freaky Friday reunion for NCIS star Mark Harmon and Jamie Lee Curtis. Curtis has been booked for two episodes of TV’s top-rated drama that will air in November. She’ll play strong-willed career woman and single mom Charlotte Ryan, from the Office of the Inspector General in the Department of Defense, who will spar with Gibbs and the team. Says exec producer Gary Glasberg, “The role of ‘Charlotte Ryan’ got even better when the enormously talented Jamie Lee Curtis agreed to join us. Jamie’s shoot-from-the-hip style embodies everything we want from Ryan — humor, heart, strength, and a lot of fun. We couldn’t be more excited she’s here. And don’t be surprised if there are sparks between Gibbs and Ryan. We’re expecting some real chemistry.”
NCIS kicks off its ninth season on Sept. 20 on CBS.
'Vampire Diaries,' 'Bones,' 'How I Met Your Mother,' 'NCIS,': Find out what's next in the Spoiler Room
It’s beginning to look a lot like fall TV time! And I’m so excited, I could scream! But that would be really awkward for the person in the office next to me, I imagine.
Instead, I’ll sit here and wait for your questions to pop up in the Spoiler Room inbox (email@example.com).
Clearly my brain is fried. So I’ll leave you to read. Remember to send in your inquiries and follow me on Twitter for more awkward thoughts (and maybe some scoop): @EWSandraG.
‘VAMPIRE DIARIES’: EP TEASES MATT’S PAINFUL ROAD AHEAD
We wouldn’t wish suffering on anyone… except for maybe The Vampire Diaries’ Matt Donovan. But that’s only because actor Zach Roerig guts us when he gets teary. TVD exec producer Julie Plec almost got our eyes wet describing how Matt will figure into the season 3 story line that has Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) seeing the ghosts of his dead exes — including Matt’s late sister Vicki (Kayla Ewell). READ FULL STORY
If you’re on pins and needles awaiting the new season of NCIS after last season’s cliffhanger left you guessing at who Tony DiNozzo was investigating next, you’re not alone. Pauley Perrette is just as excited — and clueless — as you are. “We’re shooting out of sequence for the first three episodes, so we still don’t know [what happened],” said Perrette at the Television Critics Association press tour. “I have no idea what was in the envelope.”
