Wow, this week’s Spoiler Room photo has so much pretty…

Sorry. Back on track!

There’s a lot for you to eat up here, so I’ll make this brief. Thanks for all your questions! Keep it up! Tell me what you’re loving, what you’re hating, what you ate for breakfast (kidding!…or…) and what you’re dying to know! E-mail all your fabulous ponderings to or find me on Twitter: @EWSandraG.

On to the scoop, featuring goods on the likes of Parenthood, Sons of Anarchy, Castle, Persons of Interest, Parks and Recreation, and a Titanic reference. (God, help us all.)

How much did you love this news? I was so excited I even circled Nov. 14 in my calendar and drew a creepy mask by the date to remind myself. But in case you need even more reasons to be excited about the impending romantic entanglements in this very special episode, executive producer Josh Safran told me that much “like masked balls in the past, there are multiple kisses — between multiple people” in the episode. “Like, quadratic couples, I’d say,” he teases. Could that have something to do with the “big kiss” everyone has been asking me about? Possibly… READ FULL STORY

'NCIS' First Look: Melinda McGraw will 'spar' with Gibbs and Fornell -- EXCLUSIVE PHOTO

'New Girl' keeps her cool; 'NCIS' and Mark Harmon still hot on CBS

Fox’s youthful lineup of Glee, New Girl, and Raising Hope gave the network a win in the key demos like adults 18-49 on Tuesday, even though CBS’s ever-powerful NCIS continues to rule the 9 p.m. hour.

At 8, Glee posted a 3.6 rating/10 share and 8.3 million viewers — not enough to outrank Mark Harmon and Co. (4.2/12, 19.1 million viewers) but still super among 18-34 (3.9/12) and teens (3.9/15), according to early results. But the bragging rights go to New Girl (4.4/11, 9.2 million), which not only retained 92 percent of its series premiere ratings, but won its timeslot among 18-34 (5.2/15). Can we say officially that the kids are digging that Zooey Deschanel?

'NCIS' scoop: Ducky's new galpal is... -- EXCLUSIVE

An alum of Charlie’s Angels will show up on TV this fall but don’t go looking for her on ABC’s reboot of the successful franchise.

NCIS snagged the celestial being, instead!

EW has learned exclusively that Cheryl Ladd — best known for playing Kris Munroe from ’77 to ’81 on Angels — will guest star as Ducky’s (David McCallum) love interest on the CBS drama that returns for its ninth season on Sept. 20. Her cameo will occur in late October. READ FULL STORY

Jamie Lee Curtis to spar with Gibbs on 'NCIS'

It’s a Freaky Friday reunion for NCIS star Mark Harmon and Jamie Lee Curtis. Curtis has been booked for two episodes of TV’s top-rated drama that will air in November. She’ll play strong-willed career woman and single mom Charlotte Ryan, from the Office of the Inspector General in the Department of Defense, who will spar with Gibbs and the team. Says exec producer Gary Glasberg, “The role of ‘Charlotte Ryan’ got even better when the enormously talented Jamie Lee Curtis agreed to join us. Jamie’s shoot-from-the-hip style embodies everything we want from Ryan — humor, heart, strength, and a lot of fun. We couldn’t be more excited she’s here. And don’t be surprised if there are sparks between Gibbs and Ryan. We’re expecting some real chemistry.”

NCIS kicks off its ninth season on Sept. 20 on CBS.

'Vampire Diaries,' 'Bones,' 'How I Met Your Mother,' 'NCIS,': Find out what's next in the Spoiler Room

It’s beginning to look a lot like fall TV time! And I’m so excited, I could scream! But that would be really awkward for the person in the office next to me, I imagine.

Instead, I’ll sit here and wait for your questions to pop up in the Spoiler Room inbox (

Clearly my brain is fried. So I’ll leave you to read. Remember to send in your inquiries and follow me on Twitter for more awkward thoughts (and maybe some scoop): @EWSandraG.

We wouldn’t wish suffering on anyone… except for maybe The Vampire Diaries’ Matt Donovan. But that’s only because actor Zach Roerig guts us when he gets teary. TVD exec producer Julie Plec almost got our eyes wet describing how Matt will figure into the season 3 story line that has Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) seeing the ghosts of his dead exes — including Matt’s late sister Vicki (Kayla Ewell). READ FULL STORY

Pauley Perrette on 'NCIS' cliffhanger: 'I have no idea what was in the envelope' -- VIDEO

If you’re on pins and needles awaiting the new season of NCIS after last season’s cliffhanger left you guessing at who Tony DiNozzo was investigating next, you’re not alone. Pauley Perrette is just as excited — and clueless — as you are. “We’re shooting out of sequence for the first three episodes, so we still don’t know [what happened],” said Perrette at the Television Critics Association press tour. “I have no idea what was in the envelope.”

Watch the interview below:

The most popular star in primetime is...

For anyone who can’t get enough of those feisty naval investigators, this information should not come as a surprise: The most popular actor in primetime right now is NCIS’ Pauley Perrette!

That’s according to the latest Q Ratings, a survey taken a few times a year to judge who are the most popular stars, based on audience awareness. In fact, NCIS actors occupy most of the top slots, save Nathan Fillion, the star of ABC’s Castle. The geek god is ranked No. 6.

So who’s after No. 1? Next up is Cote de Pablo, who plays Ziva on the CBS drama. No. 3 is Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory, No. 4 is NCIS lead Mark Harmon, No. 5 is David McCallum (Dr. Donald Mallard), and No. 7 is Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo, aka Michael Weatherly.

Q ratings come in handy when networks want to gauge whether an actor is worth the time (and money) to cast and/or keep on the payroll. So expect at least 20 more seasons of NCIS.

Kidding! (We think).

'NCIS' scoop: McGee's grandma is....

Meeting the team’s family is always a gas on NCIS, and this latest bit of casting is no exception. We’re about to meet a very special member of  Special Agent Timothy McGee’s family in season nine of the CBS drama, which begins Sept. 20. And the newest member of the family tree is…. 'NCIS' EP Gary Glasberg talks season 8 finale (and teases season 9)

SPOILER ALERT! NCIS wrapped its eighth season last night, and with it, the Port-to-Port killer arc that not only buried recurring favorite Mike Franks (Muse Watson) but also forced the appointment of a new SECNAV (Secretary of the Navy), who’s already given Tony an assignment to handle a leak at the agency. Executive producer Gary Glasberg, who wrote the episode, phoned us to break it down.  READ FULL STORY

Season finale alert! When to expect goodbye episodes from 'Survivor,' 'Chuck,' and 'Saturday Night Live'

Where did the time ago? It seems like just yesterday that we were anxiously awaiting the start of Lone Star; now we can barely remember that two-timing cad. That’s because it’s season finale time – that heartbreaking period when we bid adieu to nine months of scripted heaven to make way for three months of unscripted hell on the broadcast networks. (Don’t worry, Big Brother: We still adore thee).

Fire up your DVR playlists, kids … here are all the broadcast net finales. READ FULL STORY

'Smallville,' 'Supernatural,' 'Burn Notice,' 'The Killing': Find out what's next in the Spoiler Room

What a lovely day it is for television news, Roomies!

I’ll keep today’s usually-rambly intro short: You want scoop? Ask! All you have to do is email me at or find me on Twitter (@EWSandraG), where you will see I’ve already started celebrating Supernatural‘s upcoming Western episode (see below for scoop!). Don’t see yours below? Come back Friday; there’s a good chance it might be there then.

Smallville‘s better-than-ever farewell season continues Friday with the appearance of Booster Gold and the Blue Beetle/Jaime Reyes in an episode that will have both fans of the mythology and beloved Clois squealing in delight. As teased in previews, the episode indeed features an iconic phonebooth transformation (but not into the full tights-and-cape). The moment is all you’d hope it to be, but what got this nerd really excited? The steps that were taken toward creating a critical part of mythology: our hero’s name. Also great: Lois’ interactions with Jaime, Clark’s almost child-like reaction to Booster douche (who is actually as frustrating as he his hilarious), and the arrival of clumsy Kent. Take it all in, Smallville fans, because we’re in the homestretch. Luckily, the show’s been making it more than worth the 10-year investment. READ FULL STORY
