Watch Jess and her new man 'embrace the intimacy' on 'New Girl'

Imagine your perfect romantic match. Imagine that personal enfolding you in a warm, comforting embrace. Now imagine that you’re expressly forbidden to enjoy that embrace—because you’re their boss.

That’s exactly what Jess (Zooey Deschanel) faces on the next episode of New Girl. After she’s shipped off to a teachers’ retreat with new hire Ryan Geauxinue (Julian Morris)—and yes, that name is pronounced Goes-in-you—Jess encounters a number of temptations as the retreat’s instructor (guest star Lisa Bonet) thrusts the coworkers into a number of situations where they must “embrace the intimacy.”

But how exactly does Jess end up in Ryan’s arms? READ FULL STORY

What’s in store for Norman on Bates Motel this season? — Chris
Norman may have passed the polygraph test in the season finale, but Romero won’t be off his trail for long. “Romero has closed that case,” Freddie Highmore tells me. “But in the third season, his suspicions are aroused once again by a certain incident, so that uncertainty around who Norman really is sparks off again in his mind.” I wonder if the incident has to do with the new tenant. 'New Girl' to 'Marry Me': Surveying fall TV's fake online dating sites

TV-Online-Dating-01.jpg

If you’re like some EW staffers (who shall remain anonymous call me!), you’ve been using online dating for years, if not decades. (Match.com did launch in 1995, after all.) But it seems the small screen is just now catching up to today’s matchmaking mores—falling head over heels for faux dating apps and sites that bear a striking resemblance to services you may already be familiar with (cough Tinder cough). Here’s what to expect if you swipe right while watching New Girl, Marry Me, and more.

The show: A to Z
The site: Wallflower
What it is: The cutesy cousin of OkCupid where hopeless romantic Andrew (Ben Feldman) works.
Romantic prospects: 4 1/2 out of 5 hearts. Andrew and Zelda (Cristin Milioti) find each other thanks to the site…but only after straight Zelda is mistakenly set up with a woman. READ FULL STORY

Julian Morris, Once Upon a Time‘s Prince Charming Phillip, made his entrance on Tuesday’s New Girl. And Charming it was indeed.

As Ryan Geauxinue (cheekily pronounced Goes-in-you), the “distractingly handsome” Brit science teacher brought in to replace a newly promoted Jess (Zooey Deschanel), he will test Jess’s professionalism as a Vice Principal—not to mention her resolve as a woman with functioning eyes and ears—as the colleagues grow closer over the next several episodes. Watch Nick meet Jess' new conquest on 'New Girl'

In the wake of their cruise ship breakup during the season 3 finale, it’s been inevitable that Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson) would eventually find loveor at least lustback on land, and the latest episode shows our New Girl closer to bagging a new man than ever before.

But, as an episode called “Micro” suggests, there’s just one small thing he can’t Gloss over…

Find out below why Jess gets shy around this new guy, and how Nick reacts to his ex on the prowl. READ FULL STORY

'Cosby Show' alum Lisa Bonet is coming to 'New Girl'

LISA-BONET.jpg

Denise Huxtable’s heading to New Girl.

The Cosby Show alum Lisa Bonet has landed a guest role on the Fox comedy, EW has confirmed.

As TVLine first reported, Bonet will play an education guru at a teachers’ conference that Jess and Coach attend. At the conference, Jess is paired with Julian Morris’ Ryan, the “distractingly handsome” new teacher who replaces Jess when she takes the vice principal position. Ryan is slated to make his New Girl debut on Oct. 14.

New Girl airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Fox.

See Kaitlin Olson of 'It's Always Sunny' get bawdy over brunch on 'New Girl'

The first two episodes of New Girl‘s fourth season focused on Jess Day’s (Zooey Deschanel) pursuit of love, but the latest installment takes Jess’s eyes off her own romantic conquests when her father Bob (Rob Reiner) breezes into town with a new girlfriend who has plenty of high school history with Jess.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Kaitlin Olson, who plays the girlfriend in question, talked to EW about crashing the loft tonight for the first of a three-episode arc. “When they offered it to me, I said, ‘Only if there’s full frontal with Rob Reiner,’” she laughs. And, while Olson can’t promise that we’ll see that much of Bob or Ashley (the titular character of “Julie Berkman’s Older Sister”), there will be some incredibly uncomfortable (and explicit) brunch conversation.
