Oversight is getting a new officer: Dillon Casey is joining The CW drama’s second season in a recurring role.

The Canadian actor plays Sean Pierce, an Army Special Ops officer assigned by Oversight to retrieve the mysterious black box containing Division’s secrets from Nikita (Maggie Q), while also keeping an eye on how Amanda (Melinda Clarke) runs Division. As he learns more about Alex’s (Lyndsy Fonseca) history, he’s distrustful of her relationship to Nikita.

Nikita season two debuts Friday, Sept. 23 on The CW, but you can get a look at Casey earlier than that in Starz’ Torchwood: Miracle Day, where he plays a love interest of Capt. Jack Harkness.

Spoilers are like apples, Roomies. Shake the tree, and you’ll get one to fall. And next week at the annual San Diego Comic-Con, the apples will fall like rain, so be prepared. Rather, help me prepare! Send your burning questions about any and all shows going to Comic-Con (and those that aren’t, if you’re so inclined), so I can come back with a basket of bounty to share with you all. We’ll make spoiler pie together! Also, this apple metaphor has gone on about five sentences too long. So I’m stopping now.

Send questions to spoilerroom@ew.com (note the two “r”s) or Tweet them to me @EWSandraG.

Also, this week, the “side dishes” are the main course. (Clearly hungry right now… ) Enjoy!

Sandra, I’m betting you’ve already drooled over these pics of gun-wielding Joe Manganiello on the set of White Collar, right? What else can you tell me about his role (and how much heavage we’ll be seeing)? — Maggie READ FULL STORY »

Summer is in full swing here, as you can tell from the slate of shows on tap this week. And it’s going to be a pretty solid week, Roomies! I’m particularly excited about The Glades and Burn Notice, the subjects of your two pieces of big scoop this week.

Be sure to send me requests for your favorite summer shows via email: You can do so by emailing spoilerroom@ew.com. And, as always, I can be found trolling Twitter @EWSandraG.

‘BURN NOTICE’: THREE BURNING QUESTIONS, ANSWERED!

The new season of Burn Notice is upon us, readers, and it’s going to be a good one! But it seems I’ve been inundated with your inquiries about this season more than ever, and I’m happy to help!  So I’ve plucked out three of the most frequent questions and posed them to Jeffrey Donovan: READ FULL STORY »

It’s hot in New York right now. Not awful… but getting there. And watching the premiere of Leverage, where the team heads to Alaska for a case, not only made me wildly jealous but provided just the escape I was craving. That’s summer TV for you! And we’re gearing up for the bulk of it, readers. So send in your scoop requests to spoilerroom@ew.com (that’s two r’s) or Tweet them to me @EWSandraG. I’m also accepting random questions about finales, questions for EW staffers, and your general TV musings. (I read them all when I run out of TV to watch, which happens more often than you think.) Thanks, as always, Roomies!

‘HOUSE’: CHASE AND THIRTEEN: IS IT ON?

There’s so much change going on at House, it’s both terrifying and a little exciting. Exciting because there’s no way to predict how the post-Cuddy world will shift this show. One option currently being explored? The advancement of the Thirteen/Chase chemistry we’ve all picked up on. READ FULL STORY »

We’re coming up to that point of the year, Roomies, where all the season finales are wrapping up and so is my will to take any more emotional abuse from showrunners. Kidding – and also not. Nonetheless, when the last major finales wrap up, it’ll be like opening the last present on Christmas Day. You’re satisfied…yet sad.

But fear not. Summer TV brings its bounty not too long after and we should rejoice in that. So please send your questions to me. AND if you have any burning questions/general comments about any season finales, send those in, too. We’ll track down some answers, yeah?

Here are the details: Email spoilerroom@ew.com (note the two “R”s) or Tweet me at @EWSandraG. READ FULL STORY »

Freshman series Nikita is the femme of the hour. EW has learned that the series, which stars Maggie Q, has scored a second season pickup on The CW, less than one week after it enjoyed its first season finale.

As for the series that will somehow find a way to outlive nuclear war, One Tree Hill will also be returning to the network. As EW predicted, the long-running series has been given the greenlight for its ninth season.

Hellcats, however, has nothing to cheer about: Word is the series about college cheerleading was canceled.

Earlier today, the network announced that Sarah Michelle Gellar would be returning TV on The CW’s Ringer. Previously, Gellar had starred in Buffy the Vampire Slayer on The CW’s previous incarnation, WB. (Reporting by James Hibberd)

Where did the time ago? It seems like just yesterday that we were anxiously awaiting the start of Lone Star; now we can barely remember that two-timing cad. That’s because it’s season finale time – that heartbreaking period when we bid adieu to nine months of scripted heaven to make way for three months of unscripted hell on the broadcast networks. (Don’t worry, Big Brother: We still adore thee).

Fire up your DVR playlists, kids … here are all the broadcast net finales. READ FULL STORY »

What’s this?

There are finales everywhere. What’s this?

I can’t believe my eyes; I must be dreaming. Wake up, Sandra, this isn’t fair!

Woah! Musical introduction. This is what the end of the season does to me, folks. I’m losing it. But that also means summer’s on the way, so remember to start sending your scoop requests for summer TV soon! And, as a special treat, please also send your season finale questions as well.

As usual, all queries/suggestions/ponderings get sent to spoilerroom@ew.com or @EWSandraG. And as a reminder, we’re on summer schedule now. So Spoiler Room will be on Fridays only, until late summer.

Melinda Clarke on 'Nikita' season finale: A series regular will [SPOILER]!

Melinda-Clarke

Uh, oh. Is time up for poor Alex on Nikita?

Perhaps.

Considering how we left her at the end of last week’s episode, that’s definitely the first thing that came to my mind when my chat with one of the baddest girls on Nikita block, Melinda Clarke (pictured) turned spoilerific. “One of our series regulars dies…and it’s because of Amanda,” she says.  READ FULL STORY »

'Criminal Minds,' 'Supernatural,' 'Castle,' 'NCIS: LA': Find out what's next in the Spoiler Room

Spoiler-Room

Lords and ladies of the Royal Spoiler court, your TV scooper has taken a break from her shameless obsession with the Royal Wedding to bring you a spot of TV scoop fit for Royals and commoners alike.

Quick programming note to all the lovely readers who contacted me thinking I was dead/injured/buried alive on Tuesday when you were hoping for a Spoiler Room: We are on summer schedule, meaning you’ll get the column once a week until fall season. But perhaps I’ll pop in on some Tuesdays with special treats (“perhaps” = “of course!”). And as always, keep a close eye on ITV for daily scoopage.

On to the fun! As always, you great people can send your questions to spoilerroom@ew.com and @EWSandraG on Twitter. See you next week!

‘CRIMINAL MINDS’ FINALE WILL TACKLE BAU’s UNCERTAIN FUTURE

With some key cast members of Criminal Minds still without contracts for next season (i.e., Shemar Moore and the beloved Thomas Gibson), exec producer Erica Messer has penned a cliffhanger for the May 18 finale that will nod to the team’s shaky future — but not with guns and explosions. It will tackle the financial realities of crime fighting — and possible cutbacks in BAU. “It’s a more authentic version of ‘Our team is in jeopardy,’ ” she says. “This instead is, ‘There could be big trouble here, hopefully not,’ but we need to at least acknowledge that it’s on the horizon.” READ FULL STORY »

'Nikita': Shane West on filming his hot scenes with Maggie Q and upcoming 'chaos'

Nikita-Michael

Nikita might not be among the shows that snagged early pick-up by the CW, but fans of the action-packed spy drama know that the stakes have never been higher for the characters. Not only have Michael (Shane West) and Nikita (Maggie Q) recently taken the “will they or won’t they?” out of their description, but the show’s mythology (from Division’s black boxes to the character’s backstories) is also reaching a boiling point in the last episodes of the season. (Tonight’s episode is no exception.)

In a chat with EW, West talks about the recent fan-loved hook-up between Mikita (i.e. Michael + Nikita), and what’s next for the much-adored, trouble-plagued couple.  READ FULL STORY »

The CW renews 'Supernatural,' 'Vampire Diaries,' 'Gossip Girl' and two more!

The CW just announced early renewals of five shows for next season. Ready?

Gossip Girl, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and 90210 are all coming back, along with a first-ever all-star edition of America’s Next Top Model.

All will return next fall. None are huge surprises — Vampire Diaries is the network’s biggest hit, Gossip and 90210 are solid-ish and Friday’s Supernatural has helped keep the network strong on TV’s toughest night. Doing an all-star edition of veteran Top Model also makes sense as a way to potentially boost its numbers after 16 cycles. As for the shows that were not renewed… READ FULL STORY »
