'Royal Pains': Secrets (and behind-the-scenes embarassment) from the set, plus season 2 scoop from the stars

I’ve made no secret of my tendency to embarrass myself on TV sets. (See: My mortification on the Castle set.) So, naturally, it happened again at the end of last month when I visited the set of Royal Pains to get some scoop on the new season straight from stars Mark Feuerstein, Paulo Costanzo, and Brooke D’Orsay. Only this time, it was my equipment’s faulty battery — and not my own boneheaded actions — that would turn an on-set visit into a bit of a lesson.

The day started off well — great, in fact. I met up with the cast and crew at a Brooklyn stage that houses all of the shows sets. (They also film on-location in the Hamptons and in Long Island, but as luck would have it, it was not a Hamptons day.) When I arrived, Feurestein and Costanzo were wearing nothing more than white towels and hard at work on a scene that took place inside of a steam room. This is not as glamorous as it sounds. 'House,' 'Glee,' 'Leverage,' 'Royal Pains': Find out what's next in the Spoiler Room

It’s hot in New York right now. Not awful… but getting there. Thanks, as always, Roomies!

There’s so much change going on at House, it’s both terrifying and a little exciting. Exciting because there’s no way to predict how the post-Cuddy world will shift this show. One option currently being explored? The advancement of the Thirteen/Chase chemistry we’ve all picked up on. READ FULL STORY

Ed Asner talks Warren Buffett, Betty White, and the possibility of an 'Up 2'

Ed Asner defies all Hollywood rules about aging — specifically the one that says age and the ability to snag roles are inversely proportional. At 81, he’s working enough to make even his former Mary Tyler Moore co-star Betty White a little envious (and he’s hoping to reunite with the equally prolific senior citizen sometime soon as well). To wit: He’s spending this summer appearing as investment guru (and Office finale star) Warren Buffett in HBO’s movie Too Big to Fail (airing Monday at 9 p.m.), shooting a guest arc on USA’s guilty-pleasure hit Royal Pains, prepping a half dozen other movies, touring the country with his one-man show FDR, and even finding time to fly to suburban New Jersey this weekend to star in a play written by a friend’s teenage son. (Seriously. You can buy tickets here.) The erstwhile Lou Grant chatted with EW about all that — and the possibility of reprising the voice role of Carl Fredricksen in a sequel to the 2009 animated gem Up. READ FULL STORY
