Spoiler Room: Scoop on 'Supernatural,' 'Once,' 'Newsroom,' and more

Welcome to the Spoiler Room, a safe place for spoiler addicts to come on a weekly basis to learn what’s coming next on their favorite shows and, hopefully, get a few of their own questions answered. If you want scoop on a specific show, send your questions to

I need Supernatural scoop. How did Dean’s time as a demon change him? — Carl
“Right now, it’s less about how he was and what he was, and it’s more about what he might possibly still be,” Jensen Ackles tells me. “He’s still got the mark of Cain so he’s still dealing with whatever adverse effects that’s having on him. What those are have yet to be really defined, but it’s the mystery of what those could be that is really haunting Dean right now. He’s got the shakes. He’s trying to live a cleaner life. He doesn’t want to let does his guard or cloud his judgement.”

I can’t wait to see Emma and Regina working together on Once Upon a Time. — Charlie
Actually, Emma crashes the party when Regina sets out to find the Snow Queen on her own and ends up crossing paths with her savior frenemy. “Emma is trying to get Regina back,” Lana Parrilla teases. “Regina feels extremely betrayed by Emma and won’t let her off the hook that easy. Regina lashes out verbally quite a bit.” But their arguing will get interrupted when they’re faced with a sudden snow storm. Bonus scoop: Regina will “suffer a loss” during the hour.

Do you have anything on the final season of The Newsroom? — Tina
It kicks off with a look at the Boston Marathon bombing. Though tragic, the incident provides Maggie a chance to step up in a very surprising way. However, it’s Neal who will steal the show in the premiere as he finds himself wrapped up in a conspiracy that could land him and the whole ACN team in a heap of trouble. Oh, and someone quits by episode’s end.

I’m still in denial that Sons of Anarchy is coming to an end. Got any scoop? — Brad
Word on the street—that street where Mandi Bierly takes pity on me after venturing to eight sets in Vancouver and thankfully gives me scoop—is that Dale Dickey (True Blood, Justified) and Don Swayze (The Bridge) will guest-star as two people who play a pivotal role in Jax getting answers about Gibby, the young redneck whose body went missing after they shot him and his friend in episode 2.

Why the heck would Cisco build a cold gun that could kill the Flash? — Brittany
“He created it as a precaution,” Carlos Valdes says, seemingly hinting that at least Cisco, if not the whole team, may have been worried about the extent of Barry’s powers. But when the gun falls into the hands of Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Cisco will learn a pretty valuable lesson. “Cisco has this trajectory of growth,” he says. “Part of that growth involves his coming to terms with responsibility and what it means to be a hero and what it means to accept responsibility for the things that you’ve done. That episode is very important for Cisco in terms of learning the lessons of responsibility, especially when it comes to the people that he loves and the people that he cares about.”

I’d like something Modern Family. — Danny
The big Halloween episode is upon us! Though Claire is known for going all out on this holiday, Phil will stifle her this year in favor of doing something a little less spooky. Naturally, this will drive Claire mad when the new neighbors (Steve Zahn and Andrea Anders) taunt her with a friendly competition.

Do you have any scoop on the Felicity origins episode of Arrow? — Rebecca
We’re actually going to see a whole new side to Felicity in the episode. “She hadn’t found who she was yet,” Emily Bett Rickards says. “We get to see her in her college years, so she hadn’t stepped into the Felicity we see now. She was still trying to hide.” In present day, Felicity’s mom (Charlotte Ross) will appear at pretty much the worst time possible. “Her mom proves to be a distraction,” Rickards adds. “Keeping secrets becomes a burden for her in that episode.”

Is there any hope for Cece and Schmidt on New Girl? — Brecken
Yeah, they’re actually dating again—at least that’s the party line during next Tuesday’s episode. The duo have to fake date to make sure Jess doesn’t end up in jail during Winston’s background check. It all involves some meth and, surprisingly, some pedophilia.

Is Jane going to lose her virginity this season on Jane the Virgin? — Kim
Well, the promos for next week show Jane giving Michael a greenlight in that area, but as you could probably guess, the couple’s perfect night won’t go as planned. I can’t say whether the couple goes through with it, but I can say that Raf makes a rather interesting appearance during the evening—and not in the way you’d expect.

Since Adrianne Palicki is now on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.—and Will and Sam broke up—does this mean she won’t return to About a Boy? — Fiona
Au contraire! The actress reveals that she will return in an upcoming episode—though that doesn’t mean there’s hope for Sam and Will. “It’s post-breakup and it’s that moment that you have with somebody that you love and you reach out,” Palicki teases, offering a glimmer of hope: “There’s definitely a lot to be seen in the future.”

Best news I’ve heard all week: The more castings they announce for Agent Carter, the more I get excited for the show.

That’s a wrap on this week’s Spoiler Room. Be sure to email your questions to or tweet them to @NatalieAbrams.

Watch Jessica Lange's 'AHS: Freak Show' cover of Lana Del Rey's 'Gods & Monsters'

American Horror Story: Freak Show has already seen Jessica Lange cover David Bowie’s “Life on Mars” and Sarah Paulson take on Fiona Apple’s “Criminal.” In Wednesday night’s Halloween episode, Lange’s Elsa Mars went full-on glam for a performance of Lana Del Rey’s “Gods & Monsters.” It was such an epic number that it even attracted freak-show urban myth Edward Mordrake (Wes Bentley), a deadly spirit with two faces. Fun times.

'How to Get Away with Murder' exclusive: See Annalise confront Sam

We’re still talking about the final moments of last week’s How to Get Away with Murder. In a stunning climax, Annalise (the brilliant Viola Davis) sat at her vanity, removed all of her make-up (and her wig), then confronted her husband, Sam (Tom Verica), with this now-famous line, “Why is your penis on a dead girl’s phone?” And now EW has exclusive video of what happens next.

To get all the answers (sorta!), check out the scene from tonight’s highly anticipated episode, airing at 10 p.m. ET on ABC: READ FULL STORY

'Grey's Anatomy': Can Callie and Arizona's marriage survive?

Calzona fans are in for a roller coaster ride during this week’s Callie and Arizona-centric episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

After years of skirting around their issues—from Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) leaving for Africa, during which time Callie (Sara Ramirez) got knocked up by Mark, to Arizona losing her leg and eventually cheating on her wife—the couple will finally sit down for a much-needed therapy session.

'The 100': Will Clarke's detainment at Mount Weather drive her mad?

If you thought the Grounders were bad, just wait until you meet the residents of Mount Weather—at least that’s how Clarke feels when The 100 returns for its second season. Desperate to escape her cell in the underground bunker that houses the Mountain Men, Clarke will go to great lengths to find out if her people are alive.

'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.': How long will Mockingbird be sticking around?

Warning: This story contains major spoilers from this week’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. scored a new team member during Tuesday’s episode—but she almost came at a steep price.

Determined to get the obelisk back from Skye’s father (Kyle MacLachlan), Raina (Ruth Negga) attempted to blackmail Coulson (Clark Gregg). Unless he handed over Skye (Chloe Bennet), she’d send an email ousting Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) as a S.H.I.E.L.D. mole within Hydra. Coulson called her bluff because he had a backup plan: The very Hydra security agent tasked with finding the mole was actually another S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki), otherwise known as Mockingbird. Unlike the comics, in which Mockingbird was the wife of Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), this version is the ex-wife of newcomer Lance Hunter (Nick Blood). What’s in store for the newest member of S.H.I.E.L.D.? EW tracked down Palicki to find out.

'The Flash': Will shared loss bring Barry and Caitlin closer?

The Flash is about to return to the scene of the crime.

During Tuesday’s episode, viewers will get a new glimpse at the particle accelerator explosion that turned Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) into the fastest man alive. This time, we’ll see it from a different perspective via those working at S.T.A.R. Labs, a.k.a. Ground Zero. But Barry certainly wasn’t the only one affected by the incident, as Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) lost her fiance Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) as a result.

Queens is an anthology series much like AHS and the first season, to debut in Fall 2015 with 15 episodes, will be about a college campus rocked by murders; latter seasons will be in different locations and have different plots. READ FULL STORY

'Grey's Anatomy' postmortem: Mer and Maggie will take 'baby steps' to become sisters

Grey’s Anatomy’s trip to the past on Thursday night was two-fold: Not only did viewers get a deeper glimpse into the life of Ellis Grey (Kate Burton/Sally Pressman), but the dynamics of the emotional hour had an old school Grey’s feel that fans of the long-running ABC drama could truly appreciate.
