This morning on the Today show, NBC officially announced the new Celebrity Apprentice cast that will invade our television sets in early 2015. The network also sent us an exclusive photo of the new cast, because nobody — and I mean nobody — goes into overkill obsess mode over this show more than we do. And when I say we, I guess I kind of mean me. But “we” sounds slightly less pathetic so let’s just stick with that. READ FULL STORY

You better not cross Marilu Henner. Because that woman remembers EVERYTHING! No, seriously, she does. The former Taxi star possesses some sort of super memory power worthy of X-Men mutant status. So we put her special powers to the test when she dropped by the InsideTV Podcast studio to tell us about her All-Star Celebrity Apprentice experience.
Why was Marilu assaulting people at Universal Studios by yelling out what day of the week they were born on? What’s this about Celebrity Apprentice pimp daddy Farouk Shami trying to fly her down to Houston? What are some things we didn’t see because they never made it onto the show? And most importantly, if Marilu has some sort of superhuman memory, why does she not remember meeting me?!? It’s a fun, freewheeling conversation that also somehow manages to include Tony Danza and a orangutan. To listen in, just click on the audio player below.
But that’s not all. First up, blindsided Brenda Lowe calls in to talk about the “painful eye-opener” of being voted out by her friend Dawn on the last episode of Survivor: Caramoan. Turns out she has refused to communicate with the woman who blindsided her since they returned from the game last June. What will happen when they share the stage at tonight’s reunion? Brenda tells us how she plans to approach the awkward situation. Looking for the perfect way to pre-game for tonight’s finale? Then have a listen! READ FULL STORY
InsideTV Podcast: Brenda Lowe from 'Survivor' on that 'painful eye-opener' and why she hasn't spoken to Dawn since
Considering we barely saw or heard from Brenda Lowe in the first half of the Survivor: Caramoan season, we never expected her to be a part of one of the most gut-wrenching blindsides in recent memory. But there she was getting voted out by the person whose teeth she found. The same person whom she initially invited to join her for the loved ones reward. And the same person she had been offering round-the-clock friendship and support for during many an emotional breakdown. And that person was Dawn.
On the latest InsideTV Podcast, Brenda calls in to talk about the “painful eye-opener” of being voted out by the person she counted on the most. (Unbeknownest to her, Dawn actually had a stronger alliance with Cochran.) “It really hurt,” says Brenda, who goes on to reveal that while Dawn has attempted to reach out to her since the show wrapped last June, she has not responded to the woman that voted her out. What will happen when they share a stage at Sunday’s reunion then? Listen in and find out! Brenda also goes on to talk about what it was like to make Jeff Probst cry, why she never considered throwing the loved ones challenge, and the thing that surprised her the most watching the episodes back on TV. It’s a must-listen for any Survivor fan.
Then we talk to another ousted reality show beauty: Marilu Henner! Marilu was fired on the last All-Star Celebrity Apprentice after her Foxwoods party suite fell flat thanks to an overemphasis on chess (among other things.) Now, Marilu comes in to spill secrets on everything that goes on both inside and outside of the Boardroom. Plus: Is the game rigged against women? I pose that question to the former Taxi star and you may be surprised by her answer. READ FULL STORY
One is the gatekeeper to the Boardroom. The other is the man responsible for herding all of the fired losers off the floor as quickly as possible. Together they make up the most dynamic of Celebrity Apprentice duos! Receptionist Amanda Miller and elevator attendant Adrian Acosta stopped by Entertainment Weekly’s SiriusXM studio for their first ever joint interview, and now you can hear it all on the latest edition of the InsideTV Podcast.
Why does Amanda have multiple pairs of golden scissors on her desk…and no computer? Does Adrian’s elevator actually go anywhere? What’s the name of the doorman who escorts the fired celebrities to their cars? And which contestants have attempted to hit on the receptionist and elevator operator over the years? We grill the pair and get all the behind the scenes Celebrity Apprentice scoop you know you secretly crave. Our last podcast with Amanda was one of our most successful ever, and you can expect more tomfoolery this time around as well.
But first, we chat with the two most recent players to be voted off of Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs. Favorites: Reynold Toepfer and Andrea Boehlke. Why did Reynold decide to sport that sweet porn stache? Is Andrea bitter at those who blindsided her (like Cochran and Dawn) and has she mended fences with the people she blindsided (like Francesca)? And what surprised them the most when they watched the episodes play back on TV? It’s a joint interview no Survivor fan will want to miss. READ FULL STORY
Dee Snider may not have done a great job as Project Manager on last week’s All-Star Celebrity Apprentice task, but he does a great job as a guest on this week’s InsideTV Podcast! He stopped by our studios this week to give all the scoop from his time on the show — and we don’t just mean this season, but the past two years as well. Jessica Shaw and I pepper the Twisted Sister frontman with questions that we NEED answered. Did Donald Trump have it in for Bret Michaels? What’s this about a whole other aspect to the Universal Studios task that we never saw? And what else did not make it onto the final episodes? Dee also has some shocking words to share about both Trump and America’s favorite phony receptionist, Amanda Miller. It’s a rocking, rollicking good time, and you can listen in by clicking on the audio player icon below. [The Dee Snider All-Star Celebrity Apprentice interview starts at 30:00.]
But first, we check in with the man who laid waste to the beans and rice on Survivor, Brandon Hantz. There’s been a lot of debate on whether Brandon should have been brought back to play after all the troubles he went through last time on the show, but he called up to tell us that not only is he okay with what went down, but he’s actually proud and happy about it. If you are a fan of awkward interviews, this one should be right up your alley. READ FULL STORY
InsideTV Podcast: Brandon Hantz says 'You're welcome' for his 'Survivor' outburst and that he is happy with what went down
Watching the last episode of Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs Favorites was one of the most awkward and uncomfortable television-viewing experiences I can remember. A guy who was clearly emotionally unstable his first time out on Survivor: South Pacific was brought back to compete again, and suffered yet another emotional breakdown, tossing his tribe’s food all over the ground while trying to start a fight with another contestant. That guy is Brandon Hantz, and Brandon called into this week’s episode of the InsideTV Podcast to discuss what the heck happened out there, his take after watching the episode, and how he is doing now back home with his family.
You never know what you are going to get with Brandon, but cohost Jessica Shaw and I are thrown for a loop as Brandon talks about how happy and proud he is of what happened out on the island. In fact, his only regret has nothing to do with throwing out the food or verbally attacking Phillip Sheppard, but is the point where he momentarily thought about quitting because he missed his family. He stands by everything else. He also insists there is no need for concern about his emotional or psychological state. It is a conversation you are not likely to soon forget, and to listen in, all you have to do is click on the audio player below.
Then, we move from one reality franchise to another as Jessica and I chat with the latest person to be fired on All-Star Celebrity Apprentice, Dee Snider. When it comes to being fired, Dee is not gonna take it! (Although, technically, he did kind of take it seeing as how he pretty much asked to get the boot.) The Twisted Sister frontman has no problems whatsoever giving us the inside scoop on what goes on in the Boardroom. He spills secrets on Trump, Amanda the receptionist, Adrian the elevator operator, and the other element of the last task that we never saw! [The Dee Snider All-Star Celebrity Apprentice interview starts at 30:00.] READ FULL STORY
The premiere of All-Star Celebrity Apprentice is only two days away, but you can get your first taste of the season right here and right now. In the exclusive sneak peek video from the premiere below, the franchise’s most notorious villain (and camera hog) Omarosa has her sights set on a new target — season 3 champ Bret Michaels. “Bret better watch his back,” she tells teammate Claudia Jordan. “I’m coming for him. It would be a personal moment of privilege to take out the only winner in the game.”
But the most bizarre part of the clip is Jordan’s impressed reaction to Omarosa’s clearly designed play for extra air-time. “Nobody plays the game better than her so far,” says the former Deal or No Deal briefcase holder. Really? Nobody? Because I’m pretty sure Omarosa lost on this show. Twice. So far.
In any event, it’s the perfect tease to get you primed and ready for more absurd antics from both delightful and demented D-listers. Click on the video below and enjoy. And for more All-Star Celebrity Apprentice news and views, follow me on Twitter @DaltonRoss. READ FULL STORY
You don’t expect much honesty or self-awareness at a Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars press junket. But thanks to Trace Adkins, critics at Sunday’s NBC’s panel for the reality franchise got both.
The gravel-voiced country singer and returning contestant on the Donald Trump series (the Donald, by and by, was absent from the event) was refreshingly blunt about his reason for being on the show and his opinion of hanging with the C-listers competing on the franchise (this round includes Stephen Baldwin, Gary Busey and Omarosa).
Adkins said he’s returning to Apprentice because his house burned down last year and his family was assisted by the Red Cross. Since participants on the show raise money and awareness for a charity organization ($3 million this season, according to a producer), Adkins said he wanted to give something back. “The only reason that I would do a reality television show is because this one at least has a shred of nobility because of the charitable aspect of it,” Akins said. “That’s the only reason that I even considered coming and doing something like this.” READ FULL STORY
Filming commences today on All-Star Celebrity Apprentice as Donald Trump’s reality show brings back contestants from the first five celebrity seasons of the program. The cast is a curious one, missing some seemingly obvious choices like Annie Duke and Aubrey O’Day while including a few head-scratchers (Claudia Jordan? Does anyone even know who she is?). What’s also interesting is that no famous Celebrity Apprentice feuds — Omarosa versus Piers Morgan, Annie Duke versus Joan and Melissa Rivers, Lisa Lampanelli versus Dayana Mendoza — will be rekindled as none of the selected players have any past bad blood with anyone else.
I took a double-decker bus ride with Donald Trump and most of the new cast (La Toya Jackson and Omarosa were MIA) around Manhattan (some pictures of which you can see here) to take the temperature of the new crew. In terms of how they will actually do on the show, it seems like you can separate this cast into three groups: the frontrunners, the sleepers, and those that don’t stand a chance in hell of winning. Who falls into which category? Here’s my take: READ FULL STORY
'Celebrity Apprentice': Joan Rivers, Piers Morgan, Arsenio Hall and John Rich to return as advisors -- EXCLUSIVE
Get ready, New York because the circus is coming back to town. The next season of Celebrity Apprentice will commence filming soon and it will indeed be an All-Stars edition filled with returning players who were just too crazy to keep away. And we can exclusively reveal that former winners Piers Morgan. Joan Rivers, John Rich, and Arsenio Hall will all be returning — but not as contestants. Instead, the four Celebrity Apprentice champs will show up alongside Donald Trump in the Boardroom at some point as advisors. (Don’t worry, Trump offspring Ivanka, Don Jr., and Eric aren’t going anywhere. They’ll still be around as well to nod approvingly at everything their father says. You were worried, right?) 'Celebrity Apprentice': Arsenio Hall talks about Trump's verdict, being reunited with Aubrey O'Day, and fending off angry Claymates
Arsenio Hall and Clay Aiken entered the Celebrity Apprentice finale on Sunday night as BFFs. But only one would exit a champion. When all was said and done, a cacophony of woofing enveloped America as dog pounds from coast to coast erupted in chants and cheers upon the naming of Arsenio Hall as the new Celebrity Apprentice. What was his key to victory? What happened with Aubrey O’Day at the finale? How does he feel about now incurring the eternal wrath of angry Claymates? And what are his post-Apprentice plans? We talked with the winner on Monday morning to get the full scoop.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: It seems congratulations are in order.
ARSENIO HALL: What an exciting feeling! And I know everybody thinks orgasm trumps everything, but nothing trumps this!
Have you slept at all?
Yeah. You know what, I figured part of my first duty as Celebrity Apprentice was to not go out and get drunk, and wake up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to show him that he made the right choice. The worst thing I could do would be to wake up in the back of Scores. READ FULL STORY
InsideTVPodcast: Clay Aiken and Arsenio Hall dish on the 'Celebrity Apprentice' finale and their feuds with Aubrey O'Day and Dayana Mendoza
Either Clay Aiken or Arsenio Hall will be crowned the Celebrity Apprentice champion on Sunday night. But it’s not a final grilling by Donald Trump they have to worry about — it’s an InsideTV Podcast grilling from yours truly! The two finalists stopped by to talk all about the big finale and to also look back at the highs and lows of another crazy Celebrity Apprentice season. Can Arsenio find one redeeming quality in Aubrey O’Day? Does Clay regret his treatment of Dayana Mendoza on the show during the Good Sam jingle task? And did Clay have sex with Lisa Lampanelli? Wait…WHAT?!? It’s that kind of podcast, with lots of unexpected twists, turns, and bleeped out words you are not supposed to say on a family-friendly podcast. Before all is said and done, we’ll be reminiscing about the glory days of Chunky A and Clay’s unfortunate performance of “Grease” on American Idol. If you’re fan of Celebrity Apprentice, or just a fan of listening to two smart and funny guys constantly and consistently cracking each other up, then this is the podcast for you. READ FULL STORY
