'Boardwalk Empire' trailer: Welcome to the AC, Jeffrey Wright and Ron Livingston -- VIDEO

“I’m a middleman. I take orders. They do the rest. I don’t ask questions,” pleads a poor schlub at the beginning of this new full-length trailer for Boardwalk Empire.

Of course, nobody really cares about middlemen — which is why the clip quickly moves on to power players like Steve Buscemi’s Nucky Thompson, who may have a new and fearsome foe in Harlem boss Valentin Narcisse (Jeffrey Wright). “Only kings understand each other,” Narcisse says smoothly after reminding the gangster that he prefers to be addressed as “Doctor.” “What shall we do, Mr. Thompson?”

Elsewhere on the Empire: Carrie Bradshaw’s ex-boyfriend Jack Berger (a.k.a. Ron Livingston) has morphed into Roy Phillips, a wealthy outsider in town for mysterious reasons. Hopefully, he doesn’t date Gillian (Gretchen Mol), then dump her via Post-It. She’s got enough problems as it is — like a pesky judge demanding to know what occurred in her residence eight months ago.

'The Newsroom' trailer: 'Chips are falling' -- VIDEO

This is so much better than Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) wandering in the desert with his news team.

In the new trailer for the second season of The Newsroom, the chips are falling where they may. I know that because Jane Fonda’s harpy of a boss says exactly that.

Apparently, Will is being grilled for calling the Tea Party the American Taliban by the U.S. Congress and his own corporate attorney (Marcia Gay Harden). Don and Maggie are still a couple — 13 good days in a row and counting! — and someone says they have revealing photos of Sloan, while Occupy Wall Street and the Romney presidential campaign serve as background. There’s plenty of yelling, whispering, and ladies kicking the crap out of guys in the office. Oh, yeah, and a little walking-and-talking. Watch it below. READ FULL STORY

'Luther' season 3 trailer: 'His good fortune ran out the day that I heard his name' -- VIDEO

Watching the trailer for Luther‘s newest series season, you’d never know that Idris Elba is having the biggest summer of his career, starring in Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim. Indeed, he’s slipped right back into the skin of the best, most unstable detective in Britain. (How do someone’s shoulders convey so much emotion?)

Though the show has been awash with buzz since premiering in 2010, it’s actually been off the air since 2011. What’s happened since? New killer(s) on the loose, of course. Luther, still unraveling, of course. And Ruth Wilson’s Alice — she’s back, y’all, and she’s waving at us.

'The Anna Nicole Story' trailer: Pills, booze, and one bummer of a 'Fame' cover -- VIDEO

So, what’s left to say about Anna Nicole Smith? Not a whole lot, according to this new trailer for Lifetime’s upcoming biopic. But if you like seeing a fresh-faced, down-home Texas gal descend into stripping, drug addiction, and dressing up like a Juggalette for some reason, you may as well watch it anyway.

At least the casting’s on point. The movie stars Agnes Bruckner, whom you may remember from Private Practice or Lifetime’s own Craigslist Killer movie, as Anna Nicole (née Vickie Lynn Hogan). Against all odds, its ensemble also includes one Oscar winner (84-year-old Martin Landau as Smith’s tycoon husband J. Howard Marshall), one Oscar nominee (Virginia Madsen as Smith’s mother Virgie), and one Dread Pirate Roberts (Cary Elwes as E. Pierce Marshall, who took Smith to court after his megarich father died). Also, Adam Goldberg’s in it.

Adam Scott, Denis Leary and Aubrey Plaza cameo in latest 'Maron' trailer -- NSFW VIDEO

In the new trailer for Maron, we get a first look at some of the top-shelf talent set to appear on the single-camera comedy, which begins its 10-episode first season May 3 on IFC. Judd Hirsch and Sally Kellerman play his parents, while Anthony Jeselnik, Illeana Douglas, Andy Kindler, Dave Foley, Denis Leary, Danny Trejo, Jeff Garlin, Aubrey Plaza, Mark Duplass, Ken Jeong, Adam Scott, and Gina Gershon all pop up, many as guests on star Marc Maron’s popular WTF podcasts.

Maron busts out of his garage, where he famously records his podcasts, to play a fictionalized version of himself on the show, which also features Nora Zehetner as his girlfriend, and Josh Brener as his assistant.

“They can expect a humorous struggle with self,” Maron told EW in March of what audiences should expect from the show. “It’s about 90 percent me, but it’s me out in the world as opposed to me in my head or at home.”

Check out the NSFW Maron trailer below.

The 'Mad Men' season 6 teaser has arrived: 'What is happiness?' -- VIDEO

It’s been a long, skinny tie-less off-season for Mad Men watchers, full of moving still imagery and bizarre lawsuits. But no longer: This morning we bring you a full, 30-second teaser trailer for the sixth season, which is just two weeks off. What’s changed since last we saw Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce?

Creator Matthew Weiner is still playing his cards pretty close to the vest, opting to use clips from season 5 to set the mood. But it doesn’t look like anyone’s going to be happy — Don, particularly (burden of the American ethos on his shoulders, didn’t you hear?). But at least he has a cure for such marital not-so-bliss: “I am who I am. The next thing will be better.”

'Veep' season 2 trailer: Everyone curses and almost nothing goes right -- VIDEO

It’s time for the second season of Veep, HBO’s lightning-fast/lightning-foul comedy about the first female V.P. (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), the most-aggressive, second-most-powerful politician in D.C.

Here’s what we learn from the show’s new NSFW trailer: the Veep’s team is headed to a pig roast (maybe) where the hosts might be intimately involved with the main course; the Veep considers “daughter-boarding”; and, unrelated to those two incidents, the Veep becomes a meme, or “mean ma’am” — sorry, “meme, ma’am.” Something tells me V.P. really doesn’t stand for Very Precious.

Register for season 2, which begins April 14, below:

'Game of Thrones' new beast trailer shows Jaime vs. Brienne

Another weekend, another Game of Thrones trailer, this one titled “The Beast” and adding some more tantalizing glimpses of season 3. There’s Tyrion and a mysterious crate, an exchange between Mance Rayder and Jon Snow, a glimpse of sexy Ygritte in a cave and, most intriguingly, Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth facing off with swords on a bridge (and who’s the guy in the hood, anyway?).

Thrones returns March 31 and we’ll resume our 15 Days of Thrones series tomorrow (previous links below): READ FULL STORY
