EW Emmy Party video: 'True Blood' newlyweds Paquin and Moyer 'mourn' Lorena

emmy-party-2010Less than a week after becoming husband and wife, True Blood super couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer made their first public appearance together at the 2010 Entertainment Weekly and Women in Film pre-Emmy soiree last night in West Hollywood. Naturally, the main topic of conversation on the red carpet was… the savage yet inevitable death of Bill’s maker, Lorena. Hot topic No. 2? The real story behind that bloody spectacular knock-down, drag-out fight scene between Sookie and Debbie Pelt. READ FULL STORY »

ausiello-emmy-predixImage Credit: Mike Yarish/AMC; Carin Baer/Fox; Bob D'Amico/ABC; Mario Perez/ABCWe’re in the homestretch! The 2010 Emmy Awards are this Sunday—my tux is scheduled to arrive from Filene’s Basement Paris tomorrow morning!—and I’ve got two categories left to handicap: Best drama and comedy series. Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'True Blood,' 'Grey's Anatomy,' 'Bones,' 'Smallville,' 'Chuck,' and more!

Question: We already know that Booth met someone during Bones‘ time jump. But what about Brennan? She didn’t actually go an entire year without romance, did she? —Missy
Ausiello:
No, she didn’t. She went seven months without getting any. That’s technically how much time will have passed when the season starts up. In related news, Brennan is in what exec producer Stephen Nathan calls a “surprising situation” when we meet up with her on that archaeological dig in Indonesia.

Question: I love your Bones scoops. Could I pretty please have another one? —Chandler
Ausiello:
All this talk about a Bones character getting killed off may be much ado about bubkes. “Whether or not we’re going to have an actual fatality is still under discussion,” maintains Nathan. “And if it happens, it would be later in the season.”

Question: I need some Chuck scoop! —Taylor
Ausiello:
Captain Awesome won’t be reviving his short-lived career as an international superspy anytime soon. “Last season Awesome realized if there was one place in the world where he wasn’t awesome, it was on spy missions,” notes exec producer Chris Fedak. “He’d like to stay as far away from the spy world as he can.” That’s particularly true now that there’s a mini Awesome on the way. “He is going to be way more into all of the rituals of pregnancy than even Ellie is,” says fellow EP Josh Schwartz of the daddy-to-be. “Like all things in life, Awesome is going to throw himself into the pregnancy with his usual fervor.” READ FULL STORY »

Lafayette’s current squeeze, Jesus, on True Blood—is joining the NBC drama for a multi-episode arc as a possible love interest for Graham’s Sarah. Alejandro will have to duke it out with Billy Baldwin, who, as I reported last month, is also coming on board as a suitor for Sarah. READ FULL STORY »

Question: Though I can’t imagine The Office without Michael Scott, I’m more concerned about Holly and Michael getting their much-needed reunion before he bids adieu. Any chance this will happen? —Meaghan
Ausiello:
I’d say there’s a very good chance considering the fact that [exclusive scoop alert!] Amy Ryan (a.k.a. Holly) is not only returning to The Office, but will be playing a sizable role in the show’s upcoming seventh season. “We set her return up in the finale, so it would be the biggest [cop-out] of all time if we didn’t [follow through] on it,” says coexec producer and cast member Mindy Kaling. “She’s definitely coming back.”

Question: How can I get your autograph? —Danny
Ausiello:
You can bring a Sharpie to Comic-Con next week and follow the scent of Diet Raspberry Snapple and blue PVC.

Question: I love True Blood. I love Eric. Scoop, please. —Angi
Ausiello:
Is it too soon to be talking about the finale? No? Cool. Exec producer Alan Ball tells me that there will be a “lot of Bill-Sookie-Eric stuff” in the season 3 finale. “It involves blood, it involves trust, and it does not go where we expect it to go.” READ FULL STORY »

'True Blood' spoiler alert: Bill reconciles with *e*s***?!

HBO just released the official loglines for True Blood‘s five August episodes and, as per usual, they’re pretty damn spoilery.

Episode #31: ”Hitting the Ground”
Debut:  SUNDAY, AUG. 1

Smith Cameron, Cooper Huckabee) greedy influence. Jason (Ryan Kwanten) heads to jail to uncover the truth about Crystal (Lindsay Pulsipher); Summer (Melissa Rauch) makes a home-cooked play for Hoyt’s (Jim Parrack) affections; Debbie (Brit Morgan) vows revenge on Alcide (Joe Manganiello); Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) uses Hadley (Lindsey Haun) as bait to get information from Sophie-Anne (Evan Rachel Wood); Russell (Denis O’Hare) turns his back on the Authority, and on the Magister (Zeljko Ivanek).” READ FULL STORY »

Question: This House fan thanks you for posting that awesome Huddy picture! This House fan is also going to be greedy and ask you what else you know about the season premiere? —Julia
Ausiello:
A fellow Trojan tipped me off that Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein were on the USC campus Tuesday night shooting “some Huddy-ness.” Added the anonymous bystander: “They were kissing, hugging, and hand-holding. It was a fangirl’s dream come true. She had on the same outfit as in the beach pictures.” Speaking of those cutesy beach photos, series creator David Shore tells me that all may not be as it seems. “What the image depicts is rather different from what you’re going to experience when you watch the episode,” he reveals. “They’re [at the beach], but it’s not Beach Blanket Bingo.”

Question: I heard a rumor that David Anders will be a regular next season on The Vampire Diaries. Please tell me that it’s true! —Addison
